Everything in that place was so elegant, the white tiles stood out on the dance floor, all the couples dancing on the dance floor.
That girl with the unusual hair color stood out among all the other young women; her gray hair contrasted sharply with her black dress and matching shoes. She sat there, her face showing how bored she was. A boy with black hair approached her and asked her to dance, but she politely declined.
The girl's gaze shifted towards one of the many boys sitting there. His appearance was somewhat strange; he didn't seem to be American. His eyes were slanted, his figure tall and athletic, and his manly features were pronounced. But his gaze held an unusual sparkle, something she had never seen before, something that undoubtedly left her intrigued.
The boy was talking to an older person, who could very well have been his grandfather. The boy smiled at the man, who simply nodded. Seconds later, the boy got up from his chair and walked to the large doors that led to the exit.
The girl in the elegant black dress stood up, her heels clicking with each step, and walked the way the boy had gone. She peeked through the large wooden doors and saw his back; he was wearing an elegant gray suit, his hair neatly styled.
I walked behind the boy, stopping every time someone stood up to greet him. When I finally managed to escape that seemingly endless conversation, I ran in the direction I saw the boy go, turning right and trying to avoid being seen. I failed in my attempt, as the boy I had been chasing was right there in front of me, smiling.
"Hello, were you looking for me?" The boy's voice was so deep that it made the curious girl's skin crawl.
