58 : ONEDOORFUL DAY

How did I, at my clumsiest,
meet you at your most perfect?
Not even realizing my throat had gone hoarse from my hurried heart,
I shouted, 'I love you baby' and so my first serenade began.
My once-too-casual heart has now gone beyond the front door

and is heading to your home.
Crossing the sea of the city,
more than a student who’s late,
more than a racing train,
I’m going to you, out of breath.
With a worried heart, gaze quietly into the starlight.

At your bright, innocent smile, I let out a sigh of relief.
Even the emptiness of the lonely dawn waiting for you
I won’t let a single handful slip away.
Without you, I’m nothing.
So I never want to lose you.
Sometimes I wonder.

Whether you’re okay, whether you’ve left my side.
Do they know how anxious I am for every bit of happiness?
It’s a day as anxious as it is joyful.
Thank you, I miss you, I love you.

I want you, so it hurts, I’m insanely anxious,
I wonder how many more emotions
you’ll give me from now on.
All of this started because of you.
So please lift your head and look at me for a moment.
There’s no one but you.

As anxious as I am, you’re my aching heart.
