Phantom of the game

"I-I'm sorry! I didn't mean to! I didn't know this is a comfort room!" I said while barely covering my eyes. OMG why is there a man inside taking a bath? Is this Airbnb or something?



He stared a little while still holding the towel on his lower body, he then grab a robe and wear it.





I stand there blushing looking at the floor. It's so embarrassing that I can't look him in the eye.






"What happened? why are you shouting? Oh Pres I didn't know your here and why are you taking a shower inside the club room? By the way this is Lian our new club member" I looked behind me and saw JL.




"New club member? Then why are you not assisting her? ."





"I didn't mean to" He smiled sheepishly. Then looked at me with a blank stare. What did I do?




"You left her alone. I was not informed of a new member that's why I slept here." He struggle to fix the robe and is shivering from the cold. Ok, i'm not some kind of maniac I just have an excellent observation skill. It feels awkward and I don't know where to look!




Feeling shy, the guy in a robe excuses himself and hurriedly went inside another door next to the comfort room. We proceed to the long meeting table while waiting.

"Anyway I appologize if you've seen me on that state. I'm the president of the hobby club my name is Han." Trying to compose himself after the awkward incident.





"I'm Lian Jaze Sandoval" I accepted his hand shake and I noticed his hand is so soft like a baby's hand, it's cold maybe because he just showered.




"Wait you are? Are you that Lian Jaze of west high?" He excitedly ask





now I'm more curious. What is it anyway?





"Do you know me?" I asked






"Why of course! Who doesn't know LJ Sandoval if they are a volleyball fan?"





Volleyball? That one time they forced me to join that school activity right on the spot? Luckily I know how to play a little and knew the rules. That was one time my friend jokingly registered me in volleyball club and I end up being substituted because of the setter's injury. It was just one game and I quitted after that.





"You were so cool that even if two years has passed it's still popular these days" Said Han





"But I didn't really do much, I just tossed the ball around" I shyly rubbed the back of my head





"Setter is one of the most important role in the game, with a  whole burden of choices to whom you will pass and who you will trust for the score while reading opponents moves." I looked at JL after what he said.





"I see you are that phantom setter they were all talking about. I didn't recognize you with that thick glasses on" JL looks amazed or something it's like his eyes are twinkling?



phantom setter? do i look like a dog?




"Who else do you remember? you have a short term social recognition bro" Han tapped him



Han look at me.



"That's why he's either friendly or grumpy even if you are a stranger he just met. So if he's being rude, let it pass ok?" He explained. I just nodded





I feel it is rude to ask if that was a severe case so I kept my mouth shut. So that's why he has those mood swings.






"Hey stop that! I can even recognize you!" 






"Not after a year of looking at my face." 




Woah a year? That is hard condition to be in.





"It's a case to case basis depends on how ugly you are" JL said crossing his arms on his chest then stick his tounge out.





"See? He's being childish all of a sudden." Said Han while looking at me and pointing at JL.




"Whatever. You take charge of the newbie, gonna go back to reading" JL stompped back to the couch






"Copy that mister vice president." Han just laughed and shrugged.






"Anyways, You are interested to join the hobby club?" He ask as he read my form. 





"Well it's been a while since we've had a new female member. That's why you noticed we- or rather I was too comfortable sleeping and taking a shower here." He added




"But I guess since we have a female member now, I should adjust some rules and schedules of the club."





He noticed I'm staying quiet so he just proceeds on talking.




"But don't worry all members are welcoming and understanding so i'm sure they will follow whatever rules it is. And I bet they will like you too." His smile is reassuring and comforting. Deserve to be the leader of the club.




Wait, welcoming and understanding? Maybe JL is not part of the club (˵ ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°˵)




"Uhm so how many are you in the club?" 





"Only three as of the moment. JL and Juwon 2nd years and me, Han i'm in my 3rd year. Juwon is maybe lurking around the club signing isle that's why he's not here" He said





"Oh so plus me, we are just 4 members?"





"Yep! that's why we didn't bother to take a booth because most of the freshmens like active clubs like sports and student council anyway."




"And the Faculty approved it even if it has few members?" I ask him. Because as long as I know, if the club didn't reach 5 members it will be dissolved.




"They didn't explain on the Orientation? You have main club that you willingly joined, but other clubs can still sub you if they needed your help. That way all is well right?"





What is this situation? Other clubs can request for me too? It's giving me headache! What will I do if those persistent club want me? Oh no




"Hey are you ok?" He held my hand that is on the table while looking at me with worried expression.





"Yah Park Han being touchy now?" JL teased so Han quickly removed his hand and fix his sitting





We both coughed and look at JL who is now giving me death glare. What did I do again? Is he have beef with me?





"Don't mind him he just like to give things other meaning."




"By the way back to the topic, yes other club can request for you but it will just be possible if you agree and we agree. So there's no need to worry if you don't want to you can decline."





"That was reassuring thanks Pres."





"You can just call me Hannie." He smiled





"W-wait what? I'll call you honey?" Why would he like to be called honey by a girl? It's so embarrassing!





I didn't know but after a moment his smile faded then blushed really hard like his face is about to burst! Why is he embarrassed too? That's my line!





"W-wait let me explain! I didn't mean-





He was cut off when JL suddenly bursted laughing. What happen to this guy? But I can't confront him because I was dazed in his laughing face. He's like a whole different person and I don't really get it but I liked it. The sound of his laughing voice is like a music and his face brightens, tears formed looks like stars twingkling. I unconsciously held my breath. When he stops laughing and just smiling rubbing his tears away he accidentally looked my way and his smile faded.




"What are you looking at?" He looks annoyed then grabbed his book and covers his face.
