Episode 2: Coincidence & Fate

After that happened, I saw the face of the person across from me.

As usual, I was leaning against the railing, listening to the piano. But unlike other days, the window was open.

여주

The faces I saw through the window made me excited, and the music, which excited and heightened the atmosphere, made me concentrate even more. When the song ended, I stood there blankly, like a person who had lost their mind.

After seeing that person's face, I couldn't easily concentrate on anything. I don't know if it was because of seeing his face or because of the song, but my face automatically turned red.

But I had to work hard no matter what because my interview (audition) was tomorrow. I kept looking for candidates for three days in a row, but I got rejected every time I looked, so I became more anxious.

The next day

여주

I'm finally going to see it. I don't know if I'll do well, but even if I think positively, I'm still nervous.

Miss Yeoju, you can go in now.

여주

When it was my turn, I hurried in and ended up tripping over my own feet. But all I got in return was a slap and a laugh.

I ran out of there, and as I walked along, I thought, "How much have I endured? Why did I endure so tenaciously just to end up like this?" and tears welled up in my eyes.

Tears flowed uncontrollably, and I leaned against the wall and cried. After about a minute, someone came up to me and spoke to me.

He said that and gave me a bottle of drink with a big smile. I looked puzzled and he said to me,

He said that and left smiling at me.

여주

Even on the way home, I kept looking at the post-it note he gave me, and I liked the smile he gave me, so my cheeks and ears turned red.

I don't know if it was a coincidence, but I felt like I liked him.
