As soon as school ended, he persistently chased after Yeo-ju. When Yeo-ju asked if he was joking, Min-gyu became sullen. You know better than me that you swim like a mermaid.

"I want to go to the sea. So help me."
When Min-gyu looks at her with longing eyes and asks her to do something, the female lead pretends not to be able to resist and hesitates, but then agrees.

"Ha... You know the basics, right?"
When Yeoju agreed and asked about the basics, Min-gyu ran back to school, happy that he was going back to the sea. Yeoju followed him slowly.

“Let’s put this on and practice, in case we get caught while practicing.”
The female protagonist handed the practice pin to Min-gyu.
Wow, Min-gyu wondered if something stronger than his fins could really do it well.
The female protagonist sighed and told her to follow suit, aligning the pins on her feet and jumping into the pool. Min-gyu tried to follow the female protagonist, but he slipped and fell on the bottom of the pool and ended up in the pool.
As she dives and moves around without any other equipment, Min-gyu is amazed at Yeo-ju's physical abilities. It seems like she's been in the water for quite some time, but she's still holding her breath.
After a few more laps, Yeoju climbs up and Min-gyu follows. Yeoju tilts her wet hair back and asks Min-gyu.

“So you can breathe under water?”

"Well... of course. I think your events are underwater swimming and fin swimming."
Before we knew it, we'd forgotten our purpose for practicing and were now focused on talking. They knew each other so well, even without saying a word.

“If those two swim together, then this is a sure thing.”
The two men, who had been quietly watching them, slowly walked out as planned and spoke. Even though they had been following them for a while, they hadn't yet noticed.

“Hey, is this the birth of a mermaid couple at our school?”

The female protagonist jumped out of the water and chased after Seokmin, who was dumbfounded by Seokmin's words. Seokmin screamed and trembled.
Min-gyu sat outside the pool, feeling more stung by the word “couple” than by the word “mermaid.” No, why was he feeling stung in the first place?
Joohyun looked at Yeoju and then approached Min-gyu, who was sitting there, and spoke.

"Oh, what's your relationship? Yeoju hasn't really practiced with anyone."
When Joohyun asked with sparkling eyes, Min-gyu answered her truthfully.

"Just... teaching you while practicing."
Yeah, there's no way Bae Yeo-ju would do that. Joo-hyun follows Yeo-ju, saying that the word practice is trivial.
As if by agreement, the three disappeared from sight, and I took off the pins the heroine had given me. Miraculously, my feet hadn't touched the water.
Min-gyu thought as he left the pool, holding Finn tightly in his arms.

It was what he had thought, but strangely enough, he didn't like it. When the bell rang, Min-gyu entered the classroom as if nothing had happened to Seok-min who had appeared in the hallway.

As Seokmin and Mingyu entered the classroom, Yeoju, who had arrived first, approached them.
Yeoju pinched Seokmin's cheek and looked at Minkyu.

"Thanks to you, Seokmin Lee, I missed practice today."
Then, as they returned to their seats, Seokmin placed his middle finger on the back of the woman's head. Mingyu quietly pulled Seokmin to his seat.

"Today, let's discuss the 'Eulsa Five Traitors'. Group 1 will definitely have to present, so prepare."
As soon as the teacher finished speaking, the four who had formed the group gathered together in a solemn manner. Min-gyu looked around and asked.

"I studied this time, haha."
A complete reversal of fortune. It was a situation where the tables were turned. Seokmin, sensing Yeoju's reaction to his mention of studying, asked her a question with a menacing air, as if he had been waiting for her.

"Okay, shall we talk about Bae Yeo-ju first?"
Min-gyu and Joo-hyun, who had noticed Seok-min's plan, looked at Yeo-ju simultaneously. Their eyes confidently showed they knew nothing.
When Yeo-ju asks Joo-hyun quietly, Seok-min moves his mouth without her noticing and tells her the answer.

"That country..."
Before Joohyun could even finish speaking, he remembered something and banged on the desk and shouted.

"Oh, those XXs who sold out our country?"
As soon as the heroine finished speaking, the atmosphere became tense. Unfortunately, the teacher overheard her words, as the place had become quiet only when she spoke.
Min-gyu, the only one who had faced reality, muttered with a bewildered expression. His expression was no different from last time.

"...I didn't know it would be that loud."

"Okay, now is the time to correct your bad habits. It's not even a dialect, what is it?"
Seokmin had long since disappeared into the bathroom, mop in hand. Joohyun scolded Yeoju and left the classroom.
As Yeo-ju stuck out her pout, Min-gyu quietly called out to her. Yeo-ju confirmed that Joo-hyun was heading to the teacher's office and answered the call.

"Hey, let's go swimming tonight."
Oh my, why today? The heroine's voice echoed through the hallway, and she quickly covered her mouth.
김민규
"If I'm already late because I'm cleaning, what's the point of being any later? It'd be better to just do it all at once and not do anything else."
배주현
"Hey, I finished cleaning, so let's go."
At the perfect timing, Joo-hyun spoke, and he gave them both a hint and dragged Yeo-ju away. Seok-min, seemingly resigned, let Min-gyu go.

"Goodbye, my friend."
Min-gyu winked at Joo-hyun, and he quietly led Seok-min away. Left alone, Yeo-ju looked around, her footsteps shifting in her direction.
The heroine was saying no in her heart, but her steps were already heading towards the pool.
Finally arriving at the pool, Yeo-ju put on fins, seemingly resigned. She sat beside Min-gyu, who was walking toward her, and asked him a question.

"But you were good at swimming earlier. Why are you learning to swim so you can go to the sea?"
Min-gyu is embarrassed by Yeo-ju's question. Honestly, he's never really thought about giving that kind of answer.

"...I don't know."
For some reason, Min-gyu's head lowered. Yeo-ju, perhaps dissatisfied with Min-gyu's answer, slapped her knee and answered confidently.
배여주
"Hey, the beginning of everything is self-reflection. You're studying hard, but you didn't know that, right?"
Self-reflection, Ira.
Yeah, I guess you're right. We need to figure out what's going on.
Since when did I become afraid of the sea?
Maybe it was from my childhood, when I don't even remember.

"It's pathetic that the prince only cries."

"No, our brave prince will do it. Mommy believes in our Min-gyu."
The answer seemed to be one of the oldest memories I could remember.
It happened when I was 4 years old.
