I woke up from a nightmare again today. The memory of that incident from three years ago came flooding back vividly. I pretend to be fine on the outside, but I know better than anyone that I'm not. It was always like this. Cold sweat ran down my face and I had trouble breathing.

I left the room and headed to the kitchen. As always, I poured water into a cup and took my medicine. This routine is becoming a familiar one.

The endless stream of KakaoTalk messages was so terrifying that I put the sound on silent mode and sat down on the sofa. I hypnotized myself into thinking it would be okay, that it would all be over when I opened my eyes, and then I lay down on the sofa.

How much time had passed? My phone's alarm went off, and the clock ticked towards 9 o'clock, signaling complete lateness.

I quickly changed into my uniform and headed to school. There was nothing to do at school, so what good was there in getting there early?
