A short story made up solely of my delusions

The True Treasure Owner (2)

photo

In front of everyone, you always took a step back.
Only you know how heavy that one step is,
You willingly carry that weight that no one knows about.
A sacrifice that perhaps no one will recognize,
You just hugged me with a smile.

People feel comfortable when they see your smile,
I move forward following the hand you gave me,
The place where your footsteps actually reach may be a dark and quiet back road. The sight of you standing alone on that road may be a sign to someone.
You may seem lonely, but even that loneliness is
I will embrace you and make a path for you.

And finally, when time had passed and everything had become quiet,
At the end of that lonely path, you will discover your own light. That light is a treasure that no one can take, a treasure that is only yours.
It is the trace left on the countless paths you have walked for others,
Because every moment you dedicate will bear shining fruit.

So you are the true owner of the treasure.
As always, silently.
