It's okay if you don't have a dream.

It's okay if you're not good at studying.

What you have is worth it.

"I envy you for having a dream."

Seoyoung realized from Seokjin that the dream that had always been by her side since childhood could become something she couldn't find even if she longed for it. But you possessed something more real than a dream.

"··· I also envy people who are good at studying."

"Because it's the fastest way to be recognized by people."

"Dad, are you out of your mind?"

"How could you bribe someone to get a midterm exam paper?"

Ha-yeon tossed her first semester midterm exam paper onto the table. Perhaps she lacked confidence in her own abilities, or perhaps she simply didn't want to believe it. Paying the school to get the exam paper? If caught, it would only be a matter of time before Ha-yeon's image, as well as Seoul Hospital, would be ruined.

"I'm not telling you to solve it."

"Isn't Kim Seokjin, the top student in the whole school, in your class?"

"··· dad."

Seokjin, the top student in the entire school, and Hayeon, the second-top student. Hayeon harbors no animosity toward Seokjin, who is above her. I don't hate him, but why am I so frustrated that my dad can't take him down on his own?

"I'm fine with second place, I don't even want to get first place."

"How can you be satisfied with second place,If you got second place, shouldn't you aim for first place?"

Hayeon felt like yelling at her father, who completely ignored her wishes. Unable to do so, she was so angry that she didn't respond and just walked out.

The next day

During break time, Ha-yeon waited for an opportunity to come, and when her homeroom teacher told her to call Seok-jin, she left the teacher's office and went straight back to the classroom to stand in front of Seok-jin, who was studying.

"Kim Seokjin, your homeroom teacher is calling."

Seokjin answered and left the classroom. Hayeon watched him as he left the classroom, worried that he might return. She then stuck her head out the front door and continued to watch him as he headed to the teachers' office.

After confirming that Seokjin had entered the teacher's office, Hayeon took advantage of the noisy classroom and the lack of attention from anyone to take out the test paper and answer sheet from her bag.

Closing time

The noisy homeroom class began. As the homeroom teacher entered the classroom to give the address, Hayeon, who had been watching the students, cautiously raised her hand and spoke to the teacher.

"Teacher, I lost my wallet."

At Hayeon's words, the students in the class groaned and placed their bags on their desks. Then, the homeroom teacher, standing in front of them, began inspecting the bags of the students, one by one, starting from the line in the hallway.

Then, the homeroom teacher standing in front of Seokjin's seat looked through Seokjin's bag, took out a thick wad of paper and looked at it, thinking it must be a past exam question, and then the atmosphere got tense and he asked Seokjin.

"··· Kim Seokjin, what is this?"

Seokjin, who knew nothing about the paper, received it and looked at it. It was a full midterm exam for all subjects in the first semester of 2020. And at the back of each subject was an answer sheet. Seokjin, who had no idea why this was in his bag, was shocked and just looked at the exam.

"What is this..."

"Why do you have the midterm exam paper and answer sheet?"

At these words, all the students in the class froze. In the bag of the top student in the entire school, there was a test paper and answer sheet for a test they hadn't even seen yet. This was clearly a lie.It was a golden opportunity for the students who could pull Seokjin down from first place.

"Hey, was Kim Seokjin's report card a bubble?"

"Hey, you didn't get full marks on all the tests you've taken so far by doing that, did you?"

"Wow, creepy. Then it's a real accusation."

"Everyone, be quiet."

When the homeroom teacher yelled at them to be quiet, the two male students who were the main culprits, as well as all the students who had been whispering in front of them, behind them, and to the side, all shut their mouths and turned forward.

"Baek Ha-yeon, is this your wallet?"

photo
"Oh, yes, yes. That's my wallet."

The homeroom teacher passed Seokjin and inspected his bag. He saw a white wallet on the floor, picked it up, and showed it to Hayeon. Hayeon gave a vague answer and handed the wallet to her.

Then the homeroom teacher went to the front of the classroom, picked up the attendance sheet from the desk, went to Seokjin's seat, picked up the test paper and answer sheet, and spoke to Seokjin.

"Follow me, Kim Seokjin."

As Seokjin followed his homeroom teacher and carried his bag, the previously quiet students suddenly erupted in commotion. Some students were shouting and throwing tantrums, others were talking to their friends and belittling Seokjin, and some even sent messages to the school's social media page.

And this fact quickly spread throughout the third grade.

Their faith was so strong that it didn't matter what they believed exactly. They were all just stubborn.
