Chapter 1

Ji Yong was inside one of Jeju's many luxury stores, choosing clothes to his liking and, of course, all mixed with his unique style. After choosing, he indicated that everything should be taken to his hotel. He realized that he didn't have his handbag where he usually kept his wallet and other important documents. He left the store and prepared to walk towards his car where he had surely left his bag. He was calmly crossing the street, approaching the car and looking out the window where he had left "the blessed bag," becoming desperate when he didn't see it.

"You shouldn't leave your things lying around," a tall man with a commanding presence, clad in a black suit, with a penetrating gaze and a charming smile, told Ji.

"A bag as cute as this, someone might have some ideas," the attractive man remarked, extending his arm with the bag for Ji to take, while Ji, confused, grabbed it roughly.

"Who are you?" Ji asked, fussy and arrogant.

"Your father hired me, I'm your bodyguard," Top introduces himself seriously.

"Bodyguard? No offense, but you seem a bit sensitive," Ji remarked arrogantly.

"You can't measure efficiency by build," Top replied calmly as Ji picked up his phone and dialed his father, who answered immediately.

"It's me," Ji said on the phone.

"It's good that you called, son," Ji's father answered on the phone.

"Stop it already," Ji pleaded with her father.

"Who is that boy you hired?" Ji asked, narrowing his eyes as he looked at Top.

"Wait," his father pleaded as he covered the phone and asked Seo Han.

"Your boy has been discovered, who is that loser?" Ji's father asked Seo Han.

"Make sure it's him," Seo Han replied.

"What does he look like?" Ji's father asked her again over the phone.

"25 years old, brown hair, 1.80 meters tall, bleached teeth, cheap suit, cheap shoes," Ji described to his father while Seo Han listened through the loudspeaker.

"It's him," Seo Han asserted.

"What do you mean?" Ji's father asked Seo Han, while Ji continued complaining on the phone.

"I don't need a bodyguard to follow me everywhere, I'm not 15 years old," Ji complained on the phone to her father.

"Put it on the phone," his father asked Ji, making him smile victoriously, believing he had won with his complaints, handing his cell phone to Top and hoping he would be fired.

"I'm listening," Top replied, challenging Ji with his gaze.

"Bodyguard?" Ji's father asked into the phone as Top pulled Ji aside when a car drove by.

"Yes sir," Top replied.

"You're a genius," Ji's father said happily.

"Absolutely," TOP replied, looking at Ji who was gesturing in rebuke.

"Good luck, man, put my son back on," Ji's father asked Top over the phone as Top smiled and handed the phone back to Ji.

"Listen Ji Yong, I've received threats, even after the wedding, you're still under my protection," Ji's father said over the phone.

"That's not negotiable," his father ordered, causing Ji to hang up abruptly, angry at not getting his way, glaring at Top and returning to the store.

Once inside, he wrote a check to the store where he'd been shopping earlier. As he signed it, he seriously considered how to get rid of his new bodyguard, since he didn't like being controlled by anyone. After handing the check to the cashier with a smile, he took another check and spoke to Top.

"I'll double your salary and you leave me alone. I promise he won't find out," Ji offered, still holding the checkbook ready to sign for whatever amount Top asked for, while Top just shook his head.

- How much do you want? - Ji asked again, using a more mellow voice, trying to make Top surrender.

"Finish it, it's embarrassing," Top whispered, glancing sideways at the cashier.

"Maybe it's not money you want," Ji whispered, putting away his checkbook and leering at Top, completely determined to get rid of him.

"How about an affair with a man who's about to get married?" Ji offered, leaning close to her ear as the cashier looked on uncomfortably.

"We'll do it now, in the fitting room," Ji said softly, moving even closer to Top.

"I'm not wearing underwear, you just have to pull down my pants," Ji finished, whispering in Top's ear as the cashier turned all sorts of colors, making Top swallow hard at the offer from the cute and now sexy Ji, shaking his head again.

"Do you think you have any morals?" Ji asked, flustered.

"You're just like everyone else, a servant who's afraid of my father," Ji declared, grabbing her handbag and looking disdainfully at Top. She picked up her phone, which started ringing, and answered it immediately upon seeing the number, leaving the cashier staring at Top.

“She’s lying, she is wearing underwear,” Top said, giving the girl a smile that made her blush even more.

.......................................................................

Back at the hotel, Top and Ji entered. The blond, completely hysterical, indicated that he was going to eat something at the hotel restaurant, while Top quickly followed him, heading to the elevator to reach his room inside Ji's suite.

"My precious one is Paul Smith," Top said, looking at himself in the elevator mirror, adjusting his tie and practicing his smile.

Once inside a room with a separate exit and another leading to Jiyong's suite, I checked the screens connected to the cameras installed in the suite, watching Daesung as they adjusted the microphones, cameras, and other equipment to ensure the success of their mission. This made him sigh, and I approached Ji's suite to hurry them along, passing through his room and arriving at Jiyong's suite.

"Hurry up, he'll be up any minute now," Top told Daesung.

"Okay, pass me the grille," Daesung asked as Top handed him the ventilation grille to cover one of the cameras.

"Make sure the wires aren't noticeable," Top said, helping Daesung, as Bae entered the suite disguised as a cleaning staff member.

"What are you doing here?" Bae asked, hurrying Daesung and Top along. As Daesung was getting off, they heard the doorknob turn, and he immediately rushed into Top's room. Bae then created a distraction so Jiyong wouldn't notice Daesung running with a briefcase.

-Anniong - Ji greeted Bae politely, receiving a small, silent nod from Bae who was pretending to clean the door frame, receiving a strange look from the hotel manager, forcing him to leave the room.

"Mr. Kwon, I am at your disposal for anything you need," the administrator said, approaching Ji, who had come to the window.

"Thank you," Ji said politely.

"Have a wonderful stay and congratulations on your wedding," the manager said, leaving the suite.

"Thank you," Ji said again, watching the administrator leave.

Once alone in his suite, he went to the bed, sat down, and let out a long, tired sigh. A few hours later, Ji was in his room wearing a robe, reading a book. He heard a knock at the door and got up to answer it. Seeing no one there, he closed it, confused when he heard the knock again. He looked at the other door, which led to the room of the odious bodyguard, and hurried to open it. When he heard the insistent knocking, he found Top in his pajamas, brushing his teeth and looking at him with smiling eyes.

"Just letting you know I'm in this room, in case," Top said, smiling with the foam of the toothpaste, while Ji glared at him angrily, slamming the door in his face.

"It's good, he hates me, let's continue," Top said smiling, looking at Bae and Daesung who were watching everything while sitting on Top's bed.

"In the 'poor boy' genre... you're the best!" Bae said, smiling.

"It's yours now," Daesung mocked.

"Enough," Top said in a threatening voice, while Bae and Dae just laughed again.

In the room where Bae and Dae stayed, they had their entire strategy planned. They looked at city maps, photos, screens, and all sorts of instruments that helped them spy on Ji Yong.

"Do you know how far it is from here to Busan?" Daesung asked Top, who was looking intently at some photos of Ji when he was a child.

"No," Top replied.

"10,500 kilometers. I've been practicing my accent. I'm starting to master the character of a Busan race car driver. Look at my suit, I have all the sponsors updated," Daesung said, pulling his racing suit out of the bedroom closet while Top stared incredulously, shaking his head. As Daesung began his Busan man impersonation, Top moved closer to him, trying to get him to stop.

"If we ever have to win over someone who likes that accent, I'll consider this option, meanwhile calm down," Top told Daesung, taking his suit and hanging it up again.

"Go back to your computer, let's move on," Top said, patting Daesung on the back.

"Oh my God, if it isn't the pretty boy, look at that butt," Daesung whispered from his computer, watching images of Ji's bedroom where she was changing at that moment. Just then, Bae arrived and turned off the screen so that he would stop spying on Ji like that.

"Pig," Bae said, looking disapprovingly at Daesung.

"Are those his flaws?" Top asked, agitated.

"A Maroon 5 fanatic, knows Dirty Dancing by heart, has no feeling in his right shoulder?" Top listed, looking at the post-it note.

"Is this a joke?" Top asked, agitated.

"You forgot that he ate Roquefort cheese for breakfast," Bae pointed out, still disguised as hotel staff.

"Wow, he's crazy! Roquefort cheese for breakfast," Top said sarcastically.
