Hey You

Episode 1

Isaiah Michael's POV

Strictly do not read while walking.

My brother emphasized every word in front of me. He once banned me from reading books and locked them all out in the storage. I wish there were keys but the door was built with high technology, only my brother's genius brain can comprehend.

I slow stepped back from the kitchen after I brushed my teeth. I heard some footsteps above and judging from the weight, I know it's Cali, my brother.

Skipping few steps and bit of jumps, I managed to escape from the house with my old backpack and a book in my arm. I didn't look back, afraid that I might see my brother peeking through the window with a disappointed face. 

I know he would be, again, but Id feel worse if I see it. 

It was nothing but usual when suddenly I hit someone and I nearly lost my balance, the other one unfortunately did. The person, who turned out to be a guy with an interesting attire—brown thick jacket, black face mask and shades—as if a celebrity's disguise. I know, I watch drams and movies. 

Excitement slowly built up inside me.

What if it'a a star? Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh. Oh my— No. Shush yourself. It's a person. Give ’em some privacy.

If anyone can hear my thoughts, they would probably think I'm crazy. Thank God they won't and don't.

“Hey, I'm sorry,” I went to the person. “D-do you need some help?”

He shook his head and cleared his throat. 

“Are you sick?” I asked the person.

“It's okay," he said low enough to be considered a whisper and enough for me to hear.

I nodded, as if he could see. The person was looking down, avoiding my stare, hand reached for their cap.

“So... I'm going? Then?” I awkwardly told the person. It's weird because he, assuming it's a guy, is not standing up. 

Maybe I have to move away? 

I didn't wait for his response. Whether that person was a celebrity or not, it's not important... I think? I mean if it's destiny just like what they say in the books—

No. No. This is real life. I should not base it on the books.
