A Cruel Fairy Tale (Hidden Story)

The Boy Who Went to Heaven

Once upon a time, a poor farmer's son was listening to a priest's sermon in the village church.

Anyone who wants to enter heaven must walk straight to the ends of the earth.

The boy thought he had heard a really good story and left the cathedral and started walking.

I walked straight to the end of the world, passing by houses if there were any, crossing rivers with difficulty if there were any, and climbing over hills if there were any.

After walking for several days without stopping, I arrived at a city where the road led to a magnificent cathedral.

It was the height of the Easter season, and the boy was so moved by the sight of the sacred and magnificent cathedral that he thought he had finally reached heaven.

Even after the service was over and everyone left, the boy refused to go back.

Even when the janitor working at the cathedral tried to take him out, he refused to budge, saying that he could not leave since he was in heaven.

The priest heard the steward's story and said that if he believed it, he could have the boy work here. He brought the boy and asked if he was willing to work here.

In heaven, you don't have to work, right?

My father always said that he wanted to go to heaven soon.

Then you won't have to go out to the field and work every time.

The priest was speechless, but instead of scolding the boy, he calmly persuaded him.

Even in heaven, it is said that it is one's duty to serve God, angels, or their messengers.

If you don't like it, go back to your father.

The boy accepted the priest's words and began living in the church, helping with the work.

As the days passed, the boy saw everyone kneeling and praying before a wooden statue of the Virgin Mary, and he began to suspect that it was God.

The statue of the Virgin Mary was holding the baby Jesus.

“It must be hard to carry the baby all the time,” the boy said to the statue of Maria, offering to look after the baby instead.

As the boy was about to receive the baby Jesus, the baby was already in his arms.

Even though it was made of wood, it was strangely warm, so the boy felt bad and threw himself into the barn.

People made a vague statement that baby Jesus had returned to the arms of God the Father in heaven.

The boy was concerned that the statue of the Virgin Mary was very thin.

He thought it was because there was no one to serve him meals, so he cut his food in half and offered it to the statue of the Virgin Mary.

When food was offered, the statue of the Virgin Mary would bend one knee as soon as the boy left, eat it quickly while being conscious of people's eyes, and then stand there with a calm expression as if nothing had happened.

The boy hid in a corner of the cathedral, watching everything without the statue of Mary noticing, and worried that perhaps the food was not enough.

So I decided to ask the janitor to get me some leftover rice.

When the caretaker asked why, the boy replied that he was giving it to a poor stray dog.

After a few weeks, the wooden statue of the Virgin Mary had gained noticeably more weight.

People coming to the cathedral found it strange and felt uncomfortable because the swelling around its belly was noticeable.

Some people even made rude remarks, such as saying that baby Jesus disappeared and then she became pregnant with another child.

The priest, suspecting that there must be a reason for this, immediately set out to find out the reason, and came across a scene where the statue of the Virgin Mary was crouching down and eating the applause offered by the boy.

The priest muttered that this was not the kind of sight he should see, but he reassured himself that everything is in the mind.

And the next day, when I preached, I talked about the topic of 'The boy's strong religious practice and the miracle of the Virgin Mary who gladly accepted it.'

The people were so moved that from then on, several times more people than before flocked to see the miraculous statue of the Virgin Mary every day.

One day, a few days later, the statue of the Virgin Mary opened its mouth for the first time and spoke to the boy.

I appreciate your kindness, and as a reward, I'll invite you to the wedding next Sunday night.

The priest, who heard the story of the Virgin Mary from the boy, had a bad feeling.

The bride is supposed to be present at the wedding ceremony. Can I go too?

You ask Our Lady.

When the boy conveyed the priest's wishes, the statue of the Virgin Mary firmly refused.

No, you come alone.

On Sunday night, the priest and a steward, armed with an axe, hid in the shade and watched the situation just in case.

As the boy approached the statue of Mary, the statue suddenly fell into the boy's arms as if being hugged.

By the time the priest and the steward arrived, the boy was already dead, buried beneath the statue of the Virgin Mary, which had grown so fat that it seemed impossible for it to get any fatter.

The priest took an axe and struck the statue of the Virgin Mary.

The belly of the Virgin Mary was split open, and a ton of filth, just like the inside of a human stomach, overflowed, giving off a foul stench, just like a human.

The priest was so shocked that he turned pale and barely managed to ask the janitor to clean up after himself before going into his room.

The next day, during his sermon, the priest said that the boy was carried into heaven by the statue of the Virgin Mary.

A tragic ending filled with betrayal from an unknown being to a pure and devout boy.
