Don't wanna let go of you
let me in

The lobby of the most luxurious hotel in Jiangcheng, the Vizi Hotel, was brightly lit tonight, with guests constantly coming and going, their laughter filling the hall. Today was the 70th birthday banquet of Park Seung, the patriarch of the Park family. The Park family's status in Jiangcheng was unquestionable; they were business tycoons feared even by the government. I stepped out of the car, smoothed my dress, clasped my hands in the center of my skirt, and walked into the lobby with my eyes fixed straight ahead.

I quickly found the person I wanted to see. Even though I knew many people were watching me, I still smiled and quickened my pace towards the small group he was with. I glanced at the group, my smile growing even more confident. Easy peasy, just some small fry looking to discuss business. He noticed me approaching, but after a quick look, he looked away. So, he's still a little uncomfortable, isn't he?

When I reached them, their conversation stopped, and they looked on curiously at my purpose. "Everyone, today is Grandpa's 70th birthday. Let's talk about the project later. My brother hasn't eaten yet, so I'll take him with me." With that, I took his hand and led him to the long dining table in the center. The familiar warmth of his palm testified to his genuine presence, giving me even more courage to persevere.

He followed me without saying a word, and I had even prepared an explanation. Finally, it was just the two of us alone. I smiled happily, "Ah Lie, try this, it's delicious. I taught them how to make it." I put the steak on my plate, picked up a small piece with my fork, and held it up. Looking at him, my hand trembled slightly.

His gaze finally met mine, and I flinched slightly. He grabbed my wrist, which was holding the steak, and held it still. I stared blankly as he moved my hand and put the steak in his mouth. He looked at my dazed expression, a smile spreading across his face, seemingly serious: "What are you doing? Why aren't you calling me 'brother'?" He stared at me. "Ranran, you're my sister."

江月燃
I was a little indignant, and tears welled up in my eyes: "So what if she's my sister? She's not my biological daughter."

He seemed oblivious to my reply, glanced around, and patted my shoulder. "The steak was delicious; I know you're always a good cook." He leaned close to my ear: "However, I think we should part ways now." He then walked away. Glancing in that direction, I knew the trouble he had just noticed.

She's a real problem. But she won't talk to me much at the banquet; she'd draw too much attention. Whatever she says, I'm ready. I put on a smile again and walked towards my grandfather and his companion.
