You're like a gift prepared just for me
Our first meeting was like this

This is the first cathedral I've visited while studying abroad... I always think about this, but... I can't understand English at all.

No!!!! So, my Korean friend who is good at studying and always went with me to interpret for me had to go to Korea alone for a short while today, so I had no choice but to steel myself and come to church alone today. But as always, the English I couldn't understand was messing with my head.

I didn't know what to do, so I hung my head.

"You're Korean?"

" l'm here in korean you" (yes, i'm from korea)

As I was at a loss, I heard simple but well-pronounced English from next to me.

"Huh..? You're Korean!?"

"Yes, I am a novelist working in Korea."

"...Wait a minute, aren't you author Lee Ji-hoon? I'm a huge fan. I'm studying abroad because I love novels. I find American novels very impressive and I like them."

"But you can't even say that simple sentence..?"

"Yes.. It's only been 5 months since I started studying abroad.."

"Oh, I see... I'm sorry. I apologize for making you feel uncomfortable."

"No, that's right!"

"Phew - Then shall we have a meal together? Feel free to ask me anything you're curious about. I guess I have a special fan who will tell me my story?"

"Really? This is a dream, right?"

Then, novelist Lee Ji-hoon pinched my cheek and smiled faintly, saying, “What should I do? It’s not a dream.”

"...That's so good... Then I'll buy you dinner!!.."

"Should I? I'm going to eat something expensive, is that okay?

"Huh? Ah... yes...!!"

I started to worry about food expenses, but I tried to pretend it was okay, and I felt that this living expense would be very insufficient... I took Lee Ji-hoon's car, went to a famous restaurant, sat down at a table, and looked at the menu.

"450,000 won for one steak!!!"

"Why are you like that, Miss?"

Haha... Am I going to end up homeless in America at this rate...? 450,000 won for that tiny thing... How can that be? I forced a smile and ordered the cheapest cream pasta... Even the cheapest one was 90,000 won...

"Oh, I ate well."

Lee Ji-hoon ordered a lot more than I expected, and it seemed like he ordered at least 3 million won... I ordered one cream pasta...

"Then, Miss, I'll go out first."

"yes yes..."

After Jihoon left, I was dumbfounded for 5 minutes, then I went to the cash register with shaking hands and asked how much it was.

"H...How...m much is it the tadle foods..." (How much is all the food on that table?)

"That man is calculated"

The clerk smiled faintly, pointing at Ji-hoon's reflection in the glass door with her finger. Honestly, I felt good. I was mistaken because I felt like I was special to Ji-hoon. But at that moment, I was a fan of Ji-hoon, nothing more, nothing less...
