"I will take responsibility for marrying Jongdae if you let me, but before that, let's go to the hospital."

Is he drunk?

A coward who always hides under his mother's armpit hair? Now he's trying to steal Jongdae from me!

The plastic bag containing the fast food was still hot when I crushed it until it was crushed and then threw it in any direction; as a form of annoyance. My brain and my whole body felt like it was boiling, not wanting to delay the time to beat Oh Sehun when I could easily drag him to the middle of the road. Beat him black and blue, leaving him alone unconscious in the middle of the road while waiting for the truck to run over his damn body until he died!

I punched myself on the left cheek to wake myself up. I couldn't act rashly like this; it would only complicate my situation.

I looked at Sehun, who was putting his arm around Jongdae's shoulders. There was no comment from Jongdae's parents, and Jongdae himself, either. Huh, would he forget me that easily? After everything we'd done and been through? I should have guessed, seeing how they'd been acting behind my back. So, was it true they'd been cheating all this time?

Okay, I'll go!

Why should I stay by someone who dumped me for another man? Stupid!

Taking wide steps, I got up from my hiding place where I had been eavesdropping on Jongdae's parents' conversation with Sehun.

"No. What are you talking about?"

Jongdae's voice broke the silence after a rather loud slap was heard, followed by a hiss, and Uncle Kim and Aunt Oh's shocked reactions. My steps immediately stopped, my lips curling into a lopsided smile as my head bowed. Then, consciously, I returned to where I had been eavesdropping on their damn conversation.

I gasped as Jongdae's face turned red with anger. He had his arms crossed, his legs crossed, and his left shoulder leaning against the wall. Good, this is about to get interesting.

"Sehun, I'm sorry," Jongdae apologized.

"It's nothing serious, calm down," Sehun replied with a grimace.

However, Jongdae still tried to touch Sehun's torn mouth due to my actions last night which was now getting worse thanks to his slap.

"I didn't mean to hurt you, but why would you do this to me?" Jongdae looked at Sehun, then turned to his parents.Appa, Eomma,Please don't listen to Sehun's words, okay? He's just lying."

"Dae, what are you saying? You want your future to be even bleaker, is that it?" Uncle Kim was angry.

"That's not what I wanted to say,Appa,"Jongdae replied. "But—"

"So? Do you want to further tarnish my face with your slutty behavior? Then just kill the fetus in your stomach—"

"Appa!"Jongdae snapped at his father, his chest heaving as he held back his inner turmoil.

“Dae, enough,” Sehun said softly, causing the three family members to look at him with different expressions.

My body straightened when Sehun's hand reached for Jongdae's. The bastard stared intently at Jongdae, lowering his head slightly to reach for Jongdae's eyes, who were shorter than him. I groaned as my ears couldn't hear Sehun's whisper to Jongdae. But what was clear was that Jongdae only shook his head after that, his eyes tightly shut.

"I can't possibly do that!" Jongdae exclaimed, making me tilt my head in curiosity.

“You want to keep it, right?” Sehun said confidently.

Jongdae looked at his parents in confusion. Then he looked back at Sehun. “What about Chanyeol?” Although it was only faint, I could hear my name being called this time. Uh, so what was that bastard whispering about? I really couldn’t contain my curiosity!

“Why think about him when he doesn't even think about you?”

My eyes closed in annoyance. What the hell is that Oh Sehun doing? I'm always thinking about Jongdae with every ounce of my blood!

Sehun grabbed both of Jongdae's cheeks. "You have to choose one," he said, "either one or neither."

“Hey, what are you guys talking about?” Uncle Kim was annoyed when the two teenagers ignored him.

“Uncle, can I take Jongdae away for a moment? There’s something very important we need to discuss.”

The intimidating and openly disliking parent sighed deeply. “Okay, take good care of my child.”

Sehun bowed deeply—tsk, what a show. “Thank you so much.”

“Hmm.”

Sehun held Jongdae's wrist, I immediately looked for a hiding place when they both walked towards me—a large pot containing a cactus flower tree—and hid my large body behind it.

“Where are you taking me—eh, what’s wrong?” Jongdae asked confusedly as he took the path in front of me which Sehun immediately pulled to the opposite side.

“Nothing,” Sehun answered with his eyes fixed on me, “I just want to hug you like this,” he continued while hugging Jongdae’s body tightly and resting his head on Jongdae’s shoulder.

Damn it! So this bastard knew I was hiding here all along? He seems like a coward? I should have just killed him last night!

My burning eyes kept staring at their retreating backs, my ears and brain feeling like they were smoking chimneys. My fists clenched tightly, my teeth chattering, and I punched the wall behind me, making a "thud" sound. It relieved my previously labored breathing, even though I looked like I was chasing a wild wolf.

“Chanyeol, what are you doing there?”

It was Aunt Oh's voice.

After the incident where Aunt Kim caught me hiding behind her plants and I immediately turned away without saying a word, I haven't had the courage to meet Jongdae again.

"Just depressed, upset?" I turned to Kris, who suddenly sat down beside me. "That's why you shouldn't play with others, you'll get into trouble too, right?" he quipped. Making my mouth curl with a lazy look.

Without bothering to respond to him, I returned my attention to my chat with Jongdae. I'd sent several messages since last night, but there was still no response, and I doubted he'd even read them.

“Move.” I turned to Kai who nudged my pair of legs clad in white jeans; lowering them from the back of the tail sofa that was older than Suho’s great-grandfather.

“How are you, Kyungsoo?” Kris asked.

Reminds me of an incident the other day where suddenlybasecampattacked by another gang group.

"Obviously, he's still alive," I answered simply; I didn't really like the guy. If it weren't for Suho, he wouldn't have been in this group.

“Damn it!”

After Kai's curse, none of us spoke anymore, everyone was busy with their phones. I took a moment to look around.basecampwhich they had fixed, a little regret for not helping them when they were in trouble.

This is all Jongdae's fault. If he hadn't come, maybe I wouldn't have bothered securing him, tsh! Useless boyfriend.

"Aren't you guys going to college?" Kris asked curiously.

Kai and I glanced at each other before looking at Kris together.

Kai made a peace sign with a grimace. “Suspended.”

“What about you?”

"I have no interest in studying," I answered honestly. I leaned back, my arms folded for support. "Want to live freely without these rules and regulations? Wouldn't it be fun?" I said mockingly. My brows furrowed when I saw Kris and Kai staring at me intently with strange expressions. "Is something wrong?"

“Your brain,” Kris cursed.

“Whose butt is this, it’s so warm?” Kai exclaimed excitedly.

I ignored them. My breath, my heartbeat, my blood flow, my thoughts—no one could control me except me.

“There’s a lot of excitement on campus,” Kai said suddenly.

"Why the fuss?" asked Kris curiously.

I wasn't stupid when I caught Kai giving me a sly glance. However, I ignored it, choosing instead to wait for Jongdae's response. Besides, it wasn't important.

“Jongdae decided to drop out of university because she was pregnant with Sehun's child.”

I don't know what I was thinking when Kai's voice finished his sentence. My legs reflexively rose and I walked quickly toward the motorcycle as if there was no tomorrow.

"Chanyeol, where do you want to go? Drive carefully, watch out for death."

Riding that iron horse through the streets of Seoul during the day, heading to a place I usually curse and its rules. My mouth was silent, while my mind had wandered who knows where.

I don't really like university, but the person I know dreams of becoming a professor. He can't afford to give up on his studies, no matter what, no matter what, including that damn fetus that could ruin Jongdae's future.

The iron horse that had accompanied me for almost two years stopped right in front of the campus gate. My eyes watched the young people walking around inside. I was probably only there for 2 minutes before finally picking up full speed again to go somewhere else.

I didn't think how many minutes it would take me to get to Jongdae's house when I was almost chased by the traffic police.

I stared intently at the house with its cream-painted iron fence. I pressed the doorbell when, a moment later, a middle-aged woman I didn't recognize opened the front door with a confused expression.

“Looking for who?”

"Kim Jongdae?"

The woman displayed an unpleasant face that looked disgusting in my eyes.

“I have some family business here, can you come back another time?”

My brow furrowed in confusion. “There’s something important I need to discuss with Jongdae.”

“No, come again another time, okay, son.”

I don't like this person.

“Call me Jongdae, I’m her boyfriend. The police are looking for her.”

I could tell the woman was shocked. “Police?”

I nodded. "It was just a misunderstanding, but I still have to tell him something so the problem doesn't drag on," I said confidently. I didn't want to lie too much, but if there was no other way, I would do anything, even if it meant killing someone.

“Come on, come in.” He led me to Jongdae, in the main room, several people were seen gathered there.

I looked at him. Jongdae was clearly angry with Sehun, his family, especially his parents, and me. I decided to leave shortly after, thinking again that maybe this wasn't the right time to scold him and ask him to be okay like before, like nothing happened.

“Don't you understand my position?”Jongdae's scream still echoed in my mind. The pleading look was clearly directed at me who was being driven away by Sehun's father with resignation.

The January night breeze on the outskirts of Seoul was the perfect way to further chill my brain. I shuddered as I exhaled, steam rising from my nostrils and mouth. I rubbed my palms together to warm myself up a little.

I stood up from my crouching position when, from a distance, I saw the silhouette of a man climbing the stairs toward me. I closed my eyes for a moment, feeling sleepy. My ears caught each step, blending with the rustling of leaves and the chirping of crickets.

“Have you been waiting long?”

I covered my mouth, which was yawning widely. I stared lazily at the figure in front of me, who was displaying that stupid smile.

“The point is, I don't like small talk, especially with you,” I said sharply.

He smiled—stopped walking when he was only five steps away from me—with his fists tucked into his jacket.

“What do you mean by claiming to be the father of the creature inside Jongdae’s stomach?” I couldn’t help it when I saw him step back up.

Shaking his head a few times with a lopsided smile that seemed to belittle him, Sehun glared back at me. “I mean well,” he replied, “you told him to kill your own child, which in other words means you don’t want to take responsibility. I’m just taking your place and helping Jongdae defend what he wants, that’s all,” he replied lightly. “Besides, I love him, so I don’t really mind.”

My hands clenched into fists. I smiled lopsidedly as what Sehun had done flashed back into my mind.

“Then what were you thinking when you went upstairs to Jongdae’s room while I was out, and then you slept next to him naked?” I growled, trying my best not to lose control. I had heard it myself from Jongdae’s argument with his parents earlier that afternoon, reminding me that before I went to get food I had cleaned Sehun’s wounds—after I beat him black and blue—and put him on the sofa in front of the television. So how did it come to be that Sehun and Jongdae had sex while Jongdae was sleeping? And… and Jongdae’s parents caught me? What kind of scenario was this!

He laughed softly. “Sleeping paralisismaybe?

“Fuck!” I punched the air and charged straight at Sehun. I launched a barrage of punches that Sehun easily parried and dodged.

I growled in annoyance, my anger boiling over. It was clear Sehun had been stoking the fire since our first meeting. I aimed for his stomach when he suddenly tripped my left leg, causing me to fall to my knees. Sehun kicked my shin several times, but I managed to keep my voice low.

I looked up with a blazing gaze when Sehun had stopped what he was doing.

“No matter what I do, you’ll still be seen as the antagonist.” He brushed his slightly longer hair back. “Our wedding will take place after Jongdae gives birth to your child, right after I graduate from high school.”

“Don’t be crazy, you’re still kids and you’re brothers!” I growled. Ignoring the fact that Sehun is 2 years younger than Jongdae and I.

Sehun laughed heartily. “So what? My future is more secure than yours, regardless of our blood relationship or age difference.”

I rose from the position of loser that Sehun had managed to pin me to. From the start, I suspected Sehun was crazy, obsessed with his own brother!

“Besides, getting married young isn’t bad, it’s not much different from those of you who had sex when you were in your second year of high school, right?” Sehun raised and lowered his eyebrows; mocking.

I was just about to kick his leg when the back of my neck felt the whip of Sehun's belt that was thrown at me in lightning speed, my body was thrown rolling down the stairs which—had a steep height—to the last step.

“Cough, cough, cough.” I coughed, fresh blood clearly coming from my mouth and forehead. The quiet footsteps of Sehun’s shoes rolled down the stairs. My body, still prone, weakly tried to support my chest so that it didn’t feel too tight.

“I’m sorry for taking away a precious person in your life.” Sehun forced a smile. “Next time, if you fall in love again, don’t do something stupid again.” I stared at his retreating back sharply, filled with resentment. However, suddenly his back turned back. “Oh, yeah, I forgot,” Sehun said, “Jongdae and I will move to Canada after we are officially married, the whole family has agreed so please wish us the best for a smooth marriage.” Sehun winked before finally disappearing from my sight.

“ARRGHHH!!” Why isn’t he as weak as usual!
