Chapter 3

SHILLA HOTEL JEJU

Back at the hotel near the large pool, Top was complaining to Daesung about the mission. Jiyong's last move had not only embarrassed him but also infuriated him. Of course, he always maintained his friendly smile with the blond, but at that moment he really wanted to throw him into the depths of the ocean and leave him there for the rest of his life.

"It's not easy," Top complained, with Daesung leaning against the railing of the bridge that had that pool.

"It's going to be very difficult," Daesung stated, recalling the last incident and holding back laughter.

"Difficult? He's a pain in the ass!" Top exclaimed in exasperation.

"A real pain," Daesung agreed.

"What are you complaining about? You've been saying your job was too easy," scolded Taeyang, who was with them disguised as a lifeguard.

"Tonight we'll sabotage his air conditioning, we'll see if he keeps making fun of me!" Top declared angrily.

"Bae's right, you have a tendency to give up," Daesung commented as Top glared at him, immediately silencing him.

"Kids! Don't run barefoot near the pool!" Taeyang shouted to the children running around, making Top and Daesung look at Tae in surprise.

"I'm doing my job," Tae explained calmly, seeing the bewildered faces of his friends.

GD SUITE AT NIGHT

That evening, Daesung had sabotaged the air conditioning in Jiyong's suite, where it seemed like it would soon snow due to the cold. GD was calling hotel support to fix the problem quickly, but as planned, they intercepted GD's call. A friendly employee answered, but of course, the employee was Taeyang, who was busy entertaining GD on the phone.

"I can hear you, I'm telling you my air conditioner turned on, it's stuck and it's freezing cold," Jiyong complained over the phone.

"He sent a repairman right away," Bae said kindly over the phone.

"Thank you," Jiyong said, hanging up and hoping they would quickly resolve the issue, as he felt very cold despite having put on all his clothes.

Inside the room where Bae and Dae were staying, Daesung, already disguised as a janitor, awaited instructions from Top and Taeyang regarding their next move. Before that, however, Bae and Top burst into laughter at Daesung's comical appearance in his overalls with his toolbox.

"Dae!" Top exclaimed, laughing.

"Yes," Dae replied calmly, looking at his toolbox.

"You're getting promoted, don't screw it up," Top warned.

"I look like a real plumber, don't I?" Dae asked excitedly.

"If you see him, you know what you have to do," Taeyang said, sending Daesung to GD's room.

There was a knock on GD's bedroom door. Jiyong, who was freezing inside, ran desperately to meet the plumber who was going to fix his room, since one of the things he hated most was the cold, so he wanted to get out of that situation as soon as possible.

"Hello, come in," Jiyong greeted, letting the plumber in.

"Hello," Daesung greeted, limping into the room with a strange accent, carrying his toolbox in one hand and a ladder in the other. All of this was being observed by Top and Taeyang with the help of the cameras installed in Jiyong's room.

..............................

"What's the problem? Is he wearing a wig?" Taeyang asked, focusing his gaze on Daesung as Top's smile faded.

"No," Top whispered worriedly.

"Did you tell him to limp?" Top asked Bae.

"No," Taeyang replied, worried.

..............................

It turned on by itself. It's impossible to stop it – Jiyong told the plumber

"No problem, I can fix anything," Daesung replied, climbing the stairs he had brought up to the air conditioner.

...........................

"What's with that accent?" Top asked Taeyang, worried.

"I'm tired of it!!" Taeyang declared, shaking his head as he recognized the Busan accent.

Daesung, inside GD's room with the air conditioner grille out, was looking for the cable that, when cut, would activate and fail the fire suppression system. Upon finding it, he cut it, causing the fire suppression system to turn on and begin to wet the entire room.

"Bravo," Top said, smiling again, grabbing his jacket and standing up to go to Jiyong's room.

......................................

"Sir, please don't say anything," Daesung pleaded in his strange accent.

"I'm having problems, I've only been here a week, boss is going to send me back to Busan," Daesung explained to GD, who looked confused and uncomfortable because of the water.

"Work, finished, my little children, three of them, please don't say anything or I'll get in trouble," Daesung pleaded, putting on his best victim face.

-If not, problems... Problems... - Daesung repeated, causing GD pity, as Top entered GD's room.

"Is there a problem?" Top asked Jiyong, observing the scene.

"No," GD replied.

"No problem, I'll fix it," Daesung said.

"It's cold in here, isn't it?" Top asked.

"No problem," Daesung repeated.

After letting the "plumber" do his job, GD found himself in Top's warm room calling the hotel for another new room for that night, while an attentive Top watched him out of the corner of his eye.

"I can't tell you why, but I need another room tonight," Jiyong said over the phone.

"I'm sorry, but we're fully booked, we don't have any rooms available," Taeyang said on the phone.

"We hope you understand, we're sorry," Taeyang said.

"Thank you, goodbye," Jiyong hung up, a little exasperated.

"Well... you can use my room, I'll sleep in the car, I'm used to it," Top declared, taking his pajamas from under his pillow and putting them in a black suitcase.

"No, this is ridiculous," Jiyong said, looking at Top.

"Use the sofa, you don't snore, do you?" Jiyong suggested.

"No," Top whispered with a smile, intentionally dropping a DVD of the movie Dirty Dancing.

"What is that?" GD asked, bending down to pick it up.

"Nothing," Top exclaimed, trying to cover for him.

"Nothing to be ashamed of, I can even tell you it's one of my favorite movies," Jiyong commented, taking the DVD from Top.

"Really?" Top asked.

"Yes, I swear," GD replied calmly.

"I figured your kind of movies were independent films or something like that," Top remarked, looking at Gd.

"I figured you liked action movies more," GD replied, raising his eyebrows and holding Top's gaze.

"We can watch it if you want," Top offered.

"Well... if you want," GD replied, trying to sound as disinterested as possible.

.....................................................

They were already halfway through the movie, at the part where the boy lifted the girl into the air by the lake like a bird. GD watched the movie very attentively while Top, who was sitting next to him, calculated some way to approach or surround Jiyong.

"I love this part," GD commented.

"Me too," Top replied, slowly moving his body closer to Jiyong's, and just as he was about to make a move, Daesung entered the room, indicating that he was leaving.

"Thanks again for the guys, I'll finish the job soon," Daesung said to GD, who had turned around.

"Thank you," GD said as Dae left Top's room.

"I'm tired, I'm going to bed," Jiyong commented and indicated.

"Don't you mind?" Jiyong asked.

"No, I understand," Top replied, watching as GD stood up and went into the bathroom to change his pajamas.

A few hours later Jiyong was sleeping peacefully and sensually in Top's bed, who watched him lying down from the armchair.

SEUNG HYUNG POV

Kwong Jiyong is absolutely the most complex person I've ever met. I swear, he exasperates me. He's so spoiled, so determined, so aloof, yet he's moved by a cripple from Busan begging him for his job. So, who is the real Jiyong? The one who acts so cold that not even the North Pole can compare to him, or the warm one who smiles while watching a silly movie? I'm confused, and the image I have now doesn't help at all. What if he's doing this to provoke me? "No, he can't be that... calculating... right?" But seriously, watching him sleep could be so addictive, his soft smile, his white skin tangled in those sheets, in such a sexy pose. "God, he must be doing this on purpose." Calm down, Seung, you're not a teenager. You can control yourself. "Why is he so sexy?" Okay, I'll just stop for a second and check that he's not awake and causing all this.

He seems to be asleep, "he's so... cute," "oh, what the heck," I've never seen anyone sleep like that, he's so... sexy. Alerta woke up, "think, something, quick, think."

"What are you doing?" he asks sleepily.

-uh... nothing – I reply "what am I, silly?"

"I'm doing my rounds," I quickly added. "Hallelujah, my brain is reacting!"

"Let's see if everything's alright," I explain, since Jiyong is looking at me with a face that says he doesn't buy the whole story.

"I don't think I'm in danger here," Jiyong tells me.
