A couple are on vacation and both are visiting Japan, specifically the Tottori province, home to some of the most beautiful sand dunes and, of course, the most popular beach with tourists. She, ever the adventurer, wants to explore the area, see and photograph nature's wonders, while he... well, he just wants to stay at the hotel and enjoy the pool... what kind of couple is this?
His method, somewhat... but effective, for example:
He's by the pool, sipping yet another mojito—with her money, of course—while watching the slim, beautiful girls. He takes in every detail of their bodies: breasts, butts, hips, waists, observing them intently, trying to catch their attention. Just then, a waiter arrives to take away the empty glass he's just set down and hands him a flyer for a wet t-shirt contest. This not only catches his eye but completely captivates him, but his absurd interest is abruptly halted when he sees his fiancée dressed in incredibly outdated shorts, a top, and a beige shirt, her backpack ready for adventure.
"Hurry up, we'll miss the bus," she says, pulling him out of his wet t-shirt trance.
"We're on vacation," he complains, looking disappointed. "Why can't his girlfriend do something about her appearance?" he thinks.
"I'll wait for you... at reception," she replies, forcing a smile at her boyfriend's disinterest.
"Damn it," the man whispers, annoyed at having to leave the pool and accompany his fiancée.
She is walking through the streets looking for the bus that will take her to the famous and beautiful Tottori Dunes, always looking back hoping that her boyfriend will catch up with her and show more interest in the place.
"Hurry up," the girl said sadly.
"Yesterday you promised we'd go see the dunes together," she tells him.
"Well, promise, promise... mmm," the boy said, unconvinced, watching his girlfriend run after the bus that had just left.
"You promised not to get fat! See? Promises..." the boy exclaimed, annoyed and sarcastic, as he watched his fiancée stop running and talk to a local man.
"Has the bus already left? There are five minutes left," she says to the local man in charge of selling tickets.
"Sometimes it comes out earlier, sometimes later. That's just how things are here," the local explained, leaving her disappointed.
"What?" he asked, approaching his fiancée.
"The bus has already left," she explains sadly, while he inwardly jumps for joy at the news.
"If you want to see the dunes, Dr. Vick is going there," the local man told the couple, much to the despair of her boyfriend.
"I'm exhausted. Go without me," her fiancé told her, leaving her perplexed.
"It bores me, but I think I'll stay in the pool," the boy says, playing the victim.
"Does it bother you, honey? Tell me..." her boyfriend asks, but now, angry, she almost runs to Dr. Indicado's truck.
Annoyed, if only her boyfriend could understand her a little, tired of the same old thing, she approaches Dr. Vick's truck to ask him to take her there because she really wants to meet him.
(Note: This part is in Japanese, since not everyone speaks Japanese, I'll put it in Spanish for understanding, but this conversation is supposed to be in Japanese).
- Konnichiwa – she greets upon seeing the Doctor, putting some things in the trunk, catching his attention and turning to look at her, leaving her quite surprised to see the gallant Doctor.
- Konnichiwa – the doctor greets hoarsely.
"Excuse me for bothering you..." the young woman tries to start a conversation.
"I'm in a big hurry, I'll be at the clinic tonight," says Dr. Vick.
"No, that's not it..." the girl tries to explain.
"Is this an emergency?" Vick asks.
"No, they didn't tell me you were going to the dunes, and since I missed the bus..." the girl tried to ask for a ride, watching the doctor get into the truck and start it, beginning to resign herself to the situation.
"Are you coming or not?" Vick asked, making the girl smile, and immediately went upstairs, forgetting about her fiancé.
The doctor's henchmen pay the local man for the "help" they received. Taking another truck and following Vick's trail, they arrive at the location and begin talking to the girl.
"You're alone here," Vick asks, driving and glancing seductively at the girl from time to time.
"With my fiancé," the girl truthfully replies, receiving a nod from Vick.
"Oh, it's a paradise for lovers here," Vick remarks casually, glancing at the road.
“I spent three months in a hospital—the Tokyo Hospital. Ostentatious!” Vick said, refusing to comment, implying his lack of interest in aristocracy and luxury.
-Vick – Seung finally introduced himself, following his plan.
-Akari – the girl introduced herself
- Joy, happiness, beauty... You and I together,... on sunny days,... on rainy days... Even if you have to go away from me,... my thoughts,... my heart,... my soul,... are and will always be with you – Vick immediately recited while driving.
"It's a poem in Italian," Vick said after finishing reciting.
"I don't speak Italian," the girl commented with a smile.
"No? But you've been to Paris," Vick blurted out.
"How do you know?" the girl asked, surprised. Vick responded by showing her a thread bracelet identical to the girl's, with the colors of France, earning a bright and excited smile from the girl.
"It's a magical place," Vick remarked, putting on her bracelet.
“At night there’s an amazing atmosphere. Music and dancing everywhere… young, old… Incredible,” Vick said.
"Well, the truth is... I was with someone who preferred to stay at the hotel pool... I had to go on my own," Vick added with a sigh, reminding the girl that she too had been in that situation.
"There are people like that... the world offers itself to them with all its generosity, and they just stand there... stuck... trapped in their petty convictions... That's mediocrity... It really bothers me, excuse me, but..." Vick began her attack.
"No, no... I understand perfectly..." replied the smiling girl, delighted with Vick's personality.
They arrived at a place with a few old houses, weathered by the heat. Outside, many children in shabby clothes chased after the car, drawing the girl's attention. She watched the children follow the car until Dr. Vick parked it properly. As he got out, Dr. Vick greeted the children, gently scratching their heads. Akari, who had gotten out on the other side, watched the place where the gallant Dr. Vick was helping others, deeply moved by his actions.
"Sorry to bother you with this," Vick apologized, opening the trunk and taking out some boxes, while receiving the girl's hopeful gaze.
"Don't worry, I'm a teacher... I know children," she said, approaching to try and help the doctor with the boxes.
"Ohh! Ganoosh!" Vick exclaimed, stepping out of the circle of children surrounding them.
"A space, a space, so lovely... Ganoosh!" Vick exclaimed again, walking towards a child and picking him up.
"My name isn't Ganoosh," the boy whispered, complaining.
-Shh... be quiet, if you want candy, your name is Ganoosh – Vick gently ordered in the child's ear, giving him a kiss on the forehead before putting him down from his arms, all this being observed by Akari, who became even more captivated by Vick.
-Vick, Vick... - called another young man with mohawked hair wearing a nurse's uniform.
“Praise be to the Lord, you are here!” the young man greeted, shaking Vick’s hand.
"Hi Sol," Vick greeted.
"This is Akari, we came together," Vick introduced the girl, while the young man with the mohawk greeted her politely.
"Delighted," Akari said.
"How are Ryu and Kai?" Vick asked the mohawked boy.
"Very well, thank you," Sol replied kindly and flatteringly.
-Oh!... the vaccines are in the boxes – Seung said, returning to the trunk of the truck, taking out some boxes and handing them to Sol, and moving to look for the children.
"Thank you, I'll take care of it," Sol said, taking out more boxes and getting Akari to help her.
"Do you work with Vick at the hospital?" Sol asked in a soft voice.
"No, I'm a teacher," Akari replied shyly.
"Ah, okay..." Sol said, watching Vick's actions as she waved and carried a couple of children, prompting Akari to imitate her gesture.
"Those two were conjoined twins, joined at the head. Vick operated on them six months ago," Sol commented, pointing to Vick and the children she was holding.
"The other doctors wouldn't give them a chance," Sol added in confidence to Akari.
On the other hand, Vick, who was carrying the children, put on a loving show with them while they complained about the circumstances.
"It's itchy. When can I take it off?" one of the children complained, clutching the gauze on his head, while Vick held him.
"When I leave... kiss your brother," Vick instructed gently.
"He's not my brother," the other boy complained, shaking his head and trying to get everyone's attention, while Vick, to prevent the whole thing from falling apart, laughed loudly to drown out the child's complaints.
"My God... I'm so happy she found someone," Sol said to Akari, still holding the box of vaccines.
"No, we're not together," Akari clarified.
"It's obvious that it is," Sol insisted.
"No, no, I swear," Akari repeated with a smile.
"Anyway, I haven't seen him this happy in a long time," Sol added.
"What do you mean?" Akari asked.
"Didn't he tell you?" Sol asked, feigning confusion.
"No," Akari replied, looking worried.
Meanwhile, at the luxurious Tottori Hotel, Akari's fiancé was sunbathing by the pool, spending his fiancée's money on mojitos and his vices, asking the service staff about the start of the wet t-shirt event, scandalizing the very reserved employees.
Near the Tottori dunes was Seung, playing his role as Dr. Vick to charm and seduce Akari so that she would break off her relationship with her fiancé. At that moment he was sitting on a bench putting the fake vaccines in the arms of the children who were in a long line and pretending as best he could, while Sol and Akari took the boxes of fake medicine out of the car.
"-Ahhhhhh!" screamed a child as Vick pretended to give him the vaccine.
"Don't exaggerate," Vick whispered, patting him and giving the floor to the next person.
After the vaccinations and unloading all the boxes from the car, Vick and Akari climbed into the van. Sol, holding a child in his arms, saw them off, while the other children enthusiastically bid farewell to Dr. Vick, running after the van. Akari waved goodbye with a huge, radiant smile as she settled into her seat, still smiling.
"Shall we go to the dunes?" Vick asked.
"You don't have to do it, you know," Akari replied, surprised.
"Shall we use the informal 'tú' form now?" Vick asked with a killer smile, making Akari nod shyly with a smile on her lips.
"I always keep my promises," Vick emphasized as he drove, while Akari looked at him, full of hope.
Vick drove to the dunes. They got out of the car and excitedly gazed at the beautiful landscape. They walked a little, leaving their footprints in the sand. Akari took photos and smiled at the majesty of the scenery and at Seung, or Vick as she thought his name was. Meanwhile, Seung's henchmen were waiting for them on the other side of the dunes, preparing the next stage to finish the job.
"You're beautiful, Akari," Seung said, his voice huskier as he gazed at the scenery, while a blushing Akari turned to look at him intently.
"Can you translate the poem for me?" Akari asked, standing near Vick, who smiled shyly at her.
- Joy, happiness, inspiration... You and I together,... on sunny days,... on rainy days... Even if you go away from me,... my thoughts,... my heart,... my soul,... are and will always be with you - Vick recited now in a way that Akari could understand, and she excitedly moved closer and closer to Vick's face.
-Ah, look... diamond doves, it's very strange at this time of year - Vick commented, pointing at the doves his henchmen had released, catching Akari's attention. He turned around to make himself cry, making a funny gesture, then turned back once he had managed to shed tears and looked at Akari, tearfully, leaving her moved and looking at him in despair.
-Gomen, ne – Vick pleaded, still crying
"So many memories... are coming back to me..." Vick said in his hoarse voice as Akari, unable to hold back any longer, threw herself at his lips, desperately kissing Vick.
On the other side, they were being spied on by Seung's henchmen, who watched the scene with satisfaction, considering the job done, and commenting on how good Seung was at seducing.
"Wow!... It's great!" said the boy with the mohawk, looking through his binoculars at "Vick".
"Tears, they always work..." the mohawked boy told himself.
"It won't budge..." said a blond man with small eyes, trying to get the last pigeon to fly, but when he let go, it fell like a sack.
"Don't worry, she already kissed him," the mohawked boy commented, laughing at his boisterous friend.
Vick and Akari continued kissing with the dune as their backdrop, she believing she had found a man who complemented her perfectly, not wanting to break away from his mouth. When the kiss ended, she, still surprised by her actions, somewhat shyly apologized.
-Gomen, ne, I don't know what happened to me – she apologized after the kiss, looking into Vick's intense eyes.
"Are you apologizing for what? For kissing me?" Vick whispered, gazing at her tenderly.
"You woke me up, Akari... it's been ages since I felt so alive, all thanks to you," Vick said sweetly to the girl, who excitedly threw herself at Vick's lips again, only to be stopped by him, before speaking to her once more.
"But... it's too late for me, I'm somewhere else... very far away," Vick whispered hoarsely to Akari.
"I know... Sol told me everything, the divorce, the depression..." Akari replied, hugging Vick.
"I can't fall in love again... but you, you... you deserve the best," Vick said, looking at her with feigned adoration.
-Thank you, Vick – the girl said gratefully, determined to leave her stupid fiancé and find someone like Vick for herself.
"Why?" Vick asked.
"Thank you, that's all," Akari said with a smile, thinking about her new future, hugging Vick tightly and kissing him passionately again.
On the other side of the dunes, the mohawked boy and the small-eyed blond stood with half-smiles, giving each other high fives for a successful job.
"Everything's fine, let's pack up," said the mohawked boy, getting up to go to his truck, followed by the blond boy who still had the cage where they had kept the pigeons to release them at the precise moment. He ran to put it in the trunk of the truck, and as he carelessly placed the cage, he dropped some flyers they had made for a wet t-shirt contest for Akari's fiancé.
She returned to the hotel with a radiant smile, strolling happily around the pool with all her luggage, reminiscing about the wonderful day she had met Dr. Vick. On her way, she encountered her fiancé, still asleep in one of the sun loungers. She shooed him away as she passed by her suitcase, drawing the attention of the lecherous man who watched his fiancée leave with her belongings. The next day, she boarded the first flight back to Tokyo, eagerly anticipating her new future. Inside the airport, in the waiting area, Seung, also known as Vick, was receiving his payment for the completed job.
"Here, the agreed-upon $20,000," Akari's father said, handing her the envelope.
"He knows our rules," Seung added, quickly counting the money.
"What happens if she falls into that idiot's arms again?" the man asked.
"Your money will be refunded," Seung replied calmly, still counting the money.
"Did this ever happen?" Akari's father asked, worried.
"NEVER," Seung said decisively, shaking the man's hand for the business deal and leaving to catch his flight.

INCHEON AIRPORT
Three men dressed in white walked towards the airport exit, while passersby stared at them because of their cool walk and the mesmerizing image of one of them, CHOI SEUNG HYUNG, better known as T.O.P.
POV T.O.P
In a relationship, there are three types of people: those who are happy, those who are unhappy and face it, and those who are unhappy but won't admit it. This last category is my specialty. My name is Choi Seung Hyun, or TOP. I'm a professional relationship breaker. This is my team: Dong Young Bae (Taeyang), my cousin, and my best friend, Kang Daesung. These people come from all walks of life—your mothers, your brothers, sisters, your best friends, your colleagues. Anyone can be unhappy in a relationship and refuse to admit it.
"Our best friend is dating a selfish woman," a group of friends told me, adding that they see their friend becoming increasingly unstable.
"My sister married a brute," a man asks me for help.
"My assistant lives with an idiot," an agitated boss comes to ask me for help.
-My mom is seeing a gigolo – a desperate daughter comes looking for my services.
END POV TOP
..............................................
POV TAEYANG
We exist to help these people; our goal: to open their eyes. Our method: seduction. We never break up couples for racial or religious reasons; TOP doesn't sleep with them.
-We open their eyes, not their legs - is Daesung's motto and we always keep it in mind.
The most important thing: We only act if the person is unhappy. And to achieve our ends... all means are permitted. For example... Top has developed different roles such as:
- A gospel choir singer, tasked with separating the lead vocalist from her selfish husband.
- A professional hockey player saves another player from his bigamous partner.
- Window cleaner, thus separating a secretary being abused by her boyfriend.
- Car thief, helping one of the prison guards separate from her lying husband.
- Professional sushi chef, tasked with separating a sushi taster from her fake girlfriend.
All of our cases have been successful; none of our clients have gone back to their exes, and above all, T.O.P has never fallen in love with any of our clients. Maintaining our professionalism, we always hear things like:
-Excuse me, I don't know what happened to me - after throwing herself at our Seung's lips.
And T.O.P. always uses his well-known seduction speech:
"Apologize for what? For kissing me?" – classic words from our Casanova
"You woke me up. I haven't felt this alive in a long time, thanks to you," he said, making people want to kiss him again, but our T.O.P had another part to say.
-But, for me it's too late, I'm somewhere else, very far away, I can never fall in love again... but you, you deserve the best - thus opening our client's eyes.
And they have thanked TOP in more than 5 languages, and we have been paid on 3 continents; it is even a fulfilling job to see these people move away from the cause of their unhappiness, and it is also fulfilling to have cash.
END POV TAEYANG
.......................................................
Top, Tae, and Dae arrived at the department in a taxi. After spending almost two weeks in Tottori, Japan, they were returning home. First, they went to their office to see new clients, and then Top would go to meet her boyfriend of the moment, Kevin. They got out smiling, talking about their last mission, which they had successfully completed.
"Goodbye, thank you," Tae said to the taxi driver.
"Isn't that your boyfriend Kevin?" Dae asked Top.
"Kevin, huh?" Top immediately turned around, looking for her boyfriend.
"Let's go in," Tae said, picking up his suitcase.
"What are you doing here? I wasn't expecting you... but it's okay, I'm happy you're here," Top said to his boyfriend, walking towards him. Just as he was in front of him, ready to kiss him, Kevin dodged the contact, leaving Top somewhat confused.
"What? Is everything alright?" Top asked Kevin, confused by his evasive behavior.
"How was Taiwan?" Kevin asked.
"Cold, very cold," Top replied, watching Dae enter with some suitcases.
"Do you remember Kiseop, my friend?" Kevin asked.
"Yes, very well, we'll have dinner at his apartment," Top replied, remembering the boy.
"Exactly, he saw you at the airport in Japan," Kevin complained to TOP, who was thinking about how to get out of this predicament, while Tae approached with another suitcase.
"Like this? Impossible," said TOP.
"Hi, Kevin," Tae greeted him conciliatorily.
"I called the hotel and they put me through to someone named VICK," Kevin complained again.
"Is this a joke?" Top asked, trying to smile.
"Stop treating me like an idiot. I left your things with the maid. I want my keys back," Kevin pleaded, looking disappointedly at TOP.
"But Aka... Kevin, let me explain," TOP pleaded, almost mistaking his boyfriend's name for the wrong one.
"I'm listening!" Kevin exclaimed, annoyed.
"Okay, I'm not allowed to tell you what I do for a living. I'm on a mission for the state, for Korea," Top said softly to Kevin, hoping he would believe him.
"They might be listening to us right now, I can't involve you in this," TOP explained confidently, glancing around as if he were being followed.
"Do you understand me, Aka...Kevin?" Top asked as, in a fit of anger, Kevin punched Top hard in the Adam's apple, leaving the place and leaving him alone with Dae and Tae, who returned to look at Top.
"You saw that coming," Dae said, looking amused after the blow.
"Dae, stop talking nonsense, let's help him," Tae said, sighing and carrying Top inside.
..............................................................................................................................................................................
In the center of Seoul, an auction of the best wines in Korea was taking place. While attendees bid and acquired their desired wine, a blond-haired man explained the origin and flavor of the wines, as he was a wine taster.
-Sold for $6,000 – said the auctioneer, declaring the winning bid to a woman with a very ostentatious appearance.
"Let's move on to lot 5. Expert, please," the auctioneer requested, giving the floor to the blond man in his inimitable style.
"It consists of an imperial Chateau Haut-Brion from 1989, Premier Grand Cru Classe Pessac Léognan. An exceptional lot, perfectly maintained, a complex wine with great depth, elegance, and balance," the blond man finished explaining, glancing sideways at his father, who was among the bidding crowd.
"We'll start with 8,000," said the auctioneer, and the bidding began.
-8500, 9000, 9500, 10000,..... Sold for 20 thousand dollars – said the auctioneer, declaring the winner the blond man's father, who signaled to him to meet him in the lobby.
"Why are you here?" the blond boy asked, annoyed, enduring the hug and kisses his father gave him as a greeting.
"It was your mother's favorite wine," the man said softly.
"So?" the blond man asked curtly.
"You don't want me to help you pay for your wedding, not even the flowers? Let me offer you... some bottles," the blond man's father pleaded.
"I'll accept your money as long as it comes from selling flowers," the blond man said calmly, still looking annoyed at his father.
"Well, dear, it's your wedding," the father said resignedly, looking at his son.
"I have to go," the blond boy said quickly, leaving his father displeased.
"If you don't want to attend, I'll understand," the blond man said, turning to the door and walking back towards the auction.
TOP was at that moment looking for his new client, watching a stylish blond man with a cold gaze, lost in thought, walk towards him.
"Do you know where the White Room is?" Top asked the blond man who walked past him, avoiding his gaze and walking straight ahead.
Upon arriving at the white room, TOP encountered an old friend of his father who had called him to put him in touch with the father of his next client.
"How long has it been? Six years?" the man asked, hugging TOP.
"Here, I brought you this, I found it at my mother's house," Top greeted, handing a newspaper clipping to his father's friend.
"It's a shame you stopped boxing, you had a great right hook," the man remarked, looking at the newspaper clipping.
"All because of a simple defeat, your father was distraught," the man finished.
"Three days in a coma calms you down," TOP explained.
"A great man, your father, strict but fair," the friend of TOP's father remarked again.
"Above all, strict," Top added, sounding somewhat annoyed.
"How is your mother?" the man asked.
"He takes care of his cats, he goes to bed early," Top replied curtly.
"Okay, let's begin. That's Kwon Ji Yong," his father's friend showed TOP, displaying a photo in a magazine.
"Son of the wholesale flower vendor, 25 years old, 1.71 meters tall, tertiary education, conflictive relationship with his father, is athletic and hates injustice," TOP completed the information for his father's friend.
"They didn't lie to me, you're very good," the man said.
"This is her boyfriend. You have 10 days to end your relationship," the man said, pointing to a photo of Jiyong's boyfriend.
"Too little time, I need more time," Top said.
"Impossible," replied his father's friend.
"Why?" Top asked, intrigued.
"They're getting married in 10 days," the man replied.
.......................................
POV TOP
Before starting a mission, I have to do research. Daesung is in charge of taking photos of their lifestyle and moments as a couple, down to the smallest details. Taeyang, on the other hand, searches through apartments, offices, and even the trash for evidence or vices to get to know the couple thoroughly.
In Kwon's case, we collected evidence from his trash, entered his apartment, and of course Dae took several photos of them; they all look very affectionate. Today I saw the following scene: the two boyfriends walking happily through Gangnam, leaving one of the luxury stores, kissing and hugging. Jiyong said goodbye to his boyfriend with a sweet kiss. While waiting for a taxi, his boyfriend approached him and said, "GD, wait, I forgot something," and kissed him again.
Being in the office lately is overwhelming since it's temporarily become my apartment, as Kevin broke up with me. Sometimes I think I'll never have a partner to love. Tae and Dae are reviewing the information; I hope it's more fruitful than this morning, since the photos and everything we spied on didn't work—we didn't find anything.
"It sucks," Tae complains.
"It's a garbage bag," Dae states matter-of-factly.
"I'm referring to the mission," Tae clarifies, searching through the trash bag.
-I know, oh la la - says Dae singing, he can really be funny sometimes.
-IN HEAVEN – exclaims Tae, referring to a romance magazine.
“If the editor had to choose a couple to recreate, he’d choose them,” Tae remarked, continuing his task of examining the trash.
"That's all, look further down," I tell Tae, "I can't believe they don't have any flaws."
"I've never seen anyone in love like this. He writes her perfumed letters after three years of dating," Tae tells us, taking the letter in disbelief.
"Scented emails would be a bit more complicated," he adds jokingly.
"Their flaws?" I ask them.
-Choi Dong Wook comes from a wealthy Korean banking family. He graduated top of his class from Oxford at 22, left Korea to do charity work in India, and upon returning, combined his hobby with his work... and started a food bank that feeds more than 10 million children worldwide. – says the profile of Jiyong's boyfriend, Dae
-Its flaws! – I ask, somewhat agitated at not finding anything wrong while I continue ironing my shirt.
"Hyung, it's what's written," he tells me, shrugging and shaking his head.
"We want their flaws," Tae says, still rummaging through the trash.
"Its flaws... I have something here..." Dae shouts as he checks the laptop, attracting Tae's attention. I put the iron aside to go see what he's talking about.
"He owns a private plane, that doesn't mean he pilots it... not knowing how to pilot your own plane is a flaw," Dae tells us, making me smack him on the head for such stupidity.
I had an idea tonight: we'll follow the couple to a date they arranged for today. I suppose by placing microphones we can learn about their usual conversations and awkward moments. Dae will be in the van controlling the equipment while Tae and I disguise ourselves as two homeless people outside the restaurant near the window to observe their movements and facial expressions.
They spent the entire dinner laughing, talking about how much they love each other and how excited they are. If someone had to give an award to the most lovey-dovey couple, ta-da! I present to you the winners. Honestly, I can't think of anything.
-Guys, I have additional information. I know that Jiyong and Dong Wook have been together for 3 years, a typical way of meeting in their social circle, in Dubai on New Year's. Through a merchant friend, they moved in together a year ago. It's been the perfect love story so far – Dae tells us through the earpiece we're using.
Suddenly something happens that brings me relief, and I let out a sigh upon realizing that Dong Wook isn't so perfect after all, finally finding something to attack.
"What did you order?" I asked Tae with a smile, making him look.
"A bag to carry it in," she replies with the same relieved smile.
“Lord Byron is a cheapskate,” I remarked with amusement, and began to stand up. “Spending three hours in the cold street disguised as a tramp paid off.”
"I'll pack your fried bread," he commented happily.
"He's really cheap," Tae tells me, petting a dog in the street.
"So, how long does it take to separate a pair of misers?" I asked Tae, now standing completely up.
"I don't know, maybe two hours?" he says thoughtfully, trying to make a calculation, and I see him paying attention to the footsteps behind me.
"I know my job, there's always something uncertain," I tell him, trying to make a more accurate calculation.
-Good evening - I hear them greeting me, so I return the greeting.
“I saw you when I arrived, here, this is for you,” Dong Wook says, handing me the bag he just ordered to go, leaving me literally frozen. 3
"It's delicious," Dong Wook adds, looking at me and trying to convince me to take the bag. I just nod and take it. "What's up with this guy?"
"Thank you," Tae and I said, and looked at each other again, defeated.
"I wouldn't mind if you gave me the food, I'm hungry," Dae tells us through the earpiece, while Tae already has the small black dog in his arms.
"I'll call you Boss," he tells the dog, continuing to pet him.
END POV TOP
.................................................
"What do you mean you can't help him?" asked TOP's father's friend in the man's office.
"He's happy, Seo Han, I've never seen such a happy couple," TOP replied to his father's friend.
"As always, things get tough and you give up," Seo Han tells him.
"Don't start. With proper preparation, no one can resist me," TOP says, looking annoyed.
"This fear of failure is what saddened your father," Seo Han remarks.
"There's no connection whatsoever... it's a matter of principle, they're happy, I don't touch them," TOP clarified, looking at him defiantly.
"You're not in love like that, I hope," his father's friend tells TOP.
"In that sense there's no problem," replies TOP.
"Nice to see you again," Seo Han said, shaking his hand. After the handshake, TOP left the place, heading to his office where Tae and Dae were waiting for him.
............................................................................................
Top was playing chess with Daesung while eating ramen for lunch, Tae was on his laptop checking his bank statements, pointing and shaking his head, taking a long sigh before speaking.
"We can't reject the contract," Tae said, looking at Top and Dae playing and eating.
"Why?" Top asked, taking a bite of the ramen.
"We're going broke as long as you keep buying things," Tae explained, his hands clasped on the desk of the small office.
"This office is turning into a dump where we can't receive clients, hyung. We don't have enough money to rent a utility room, the van barely starts, and I have to change the oil by hand," said an agitated Taeyang, tired of the situation because Top kept playing around with Dae.
"That's because I didn't add tomatoes this time," Top said, taking another spoonful of ramen.
"He was starving, it's delicious," Daesung encouraged Top.
"We built a fake English Village! We rented the Basilica of the Sacred Heart a month ago! This is getting ridiculous!" Tae complained, trying to scold her.
"We're artists," Top replied, still playing with Dae, leaving Tae with a mournful sigh.
"Mozart wasn't asked to write an opera for accordion," Daesung argued, making Top smile.
"They're annoying me!" Taeyang exclaimed as Top smiled.
"You're the one causing trouble. Do you think I enjoy playing the Don Juan just to put food on the table?" TOP replied, still playing with Dae.
"I have no privacy, I live under my desk," Seung complained.
-Mate! – Top exclaimed, beating Daesung in the game, leaving him surprised by the speed of his thoughts.
"How much do we need? 5,000?" Top asked, performing a small celebratory gesture with his hands.
-20,000, to pay off the debts – Tae indicated, now calmer.
"You'll have them tomorrow," Top told him, getting up from his seat to head to a place to get a loan.
A man of approximately two meters was eating the nuts still with the hard shell; it was noticeable how burly and strong he was. He also had a cut on his left cheek. Top waited beside this man for the arrival of his loan shark.
"If I were you, I'd eat them differently," TOP said, trying to strike up a conversation with the hulking, nut-eating man.
"Don't bother him, he doesn't speak Hangul," said the loan shark, sitting down next to TOP.
“I brought him from Serbia. He used to do dog fighting; he loved fighting pit bulls,” the loan shark explained to TOP, making it clear that the burly man not only looked like a hulking brute, but was a killer brute.
"-Great!" exclaimed TOP, taking a nut from the killer mole and trying to eat it like the mole did, without success.
"I need more money, 20,000," TOP demanded, as the loan shark gestured to his man to stand up.
"Seung, forget it, and you have one week to pay me back the 30,000 you owe me," the loan shark told him.
"Like 30,000? Isn't it fixed?" TOP asked, taking the walnut out of his teeth.
"Didn't you talk to Daesung? Didn't he call you? That's stupid, I'll call him," TOP asked, feigning concern as he stood up and pulled out his cell phone to complete the act, not expecting the giant to come running towards him, grabbing him by the shoulders and neck and then slamming him against a wall hidden from passersby.
"I swear if you don't pay me, I'll smash your face in, and not even your mother will recognize you," the loan shark threatened, using his hulking figure that had TOP slammed against a wall.
"Okay, fine, I'll pay you back," TOP promised, prompting the loan shark to signal for the hulk to release him.
And when they had left, Top took his cell phone and called Seo Han to force him to accept the job.
-Seo Han shii – Top greeted when the call was answered
"Seung," the man greeted.
"Okay, I accept, that's 50,000 dollars," TOP told the man.
-You're greedy, you start the day after tomorrow, Monday, Mr. Kwon will be in Jeju to prepare the wedding, good news, the groom, Dong Wook, is only going on Friday on the eve of the ceremony - Seo Han gave Top the information so that he could start the work.
"You have 5 days, good luck Seung," Seo Han told TOP over the phone, remembering Kwon's eccentric character and bad personality.
