JUST ONE DAY

-Write me a song.

She said, looking him in the eyes and panicking at that very moment.

He raised his gaze slightly and, without realizing it, smiled.

-Art comes about on its own, if you force me the song will only say...-he thought for a moment- Nothing, I have no ideas at the moment.

She narrowed her eyes and lifted her lips in a slight pout before smiling.
She put her hand over her face and opened her fingers a little, revealing one of her eyes. She looked at him as if he were the most beautiful postcard, felt an explosion in her heart that caused a silly smile again, lowered her hand and said.

-Die, I don't want anything anymore.

Yoongi chuckled; she always made him feel this way, wanting to laugh. He lay back on the grass in the park, enjoying the sun's rays that warmly touched his skin and the small shade cast by the leaves of the trees, feeling the wind brush against the tip of his nose.

A strange cloud of love would appear when they were together, and they were both aware of it, but there's always a but, so they never did anything about it; it was more comfortable to be like that.

Their lives were basically work, and they met up when they could.
They became friends in college when Yoongi was dating Yuri, a classmate of Migui's. They weren't that close, but for some reason things ended up that way.

Suddenly, he took to holding Mingui's hand or going to her side as soon as he saw her, he gave her nicknames that made her blush, he took her home and ran to her whenever she needed him; in his own way, he loved her.

Yoongi decided to dedicate himself to music and she left it despite her love for the bass and the lyrics because she was at a point where she depended only on herself and art was a luxury she could not afford.
That's why she admired Yoongi; he didn't care about the complications of his reality and, despite being alone, he fought for his dreams. She, on the other hand, was a coward who chose the "safest" path, a kind of comfort zone.

"When some guy writes me something, I'm going to marry him."

-Then go marry your boss, he emails you every day.

-You're heartless, you're going to die alone.

-I don't think I have a date today.

Mingui opened his eyes dramatically to annoy him.

-Is she that desperate?

-I guess, she always wears short skirts and brings me coffee and I need a little sex.

-Then you'll be complaining because she wants to get married.

Yoongi sighed and sat down facing his friend, took her hands and said.

-Honey, maybe I will.

I've been dating her for a while now and I think I could.

Mingui felt his heart break but smiled at his friend.

-Congratulations, I suppose you're going to have a lot of children and things like that.

-Probably.

The afternoon continued and the time came for her to leave; Yoongi let her go once again.

When I got home, I took out a small black notebook I'd had for years, opened it to that special page, crossed out the name Mingui, and wrote JUST ONE DAY next to it.

I pick up the phone and send a message to his friend letting him know that I have a new song for you.

Because she finally asked him for a song and he had it ready a month after meeting her.
