Chapter 6: Dangerous?
From Suga-Min Yoongi's perspective
Namjoon rested his elbows on his knees, staring intently at the floor before speaking.
"You're looking at her differently," he said bluntly.
Yoongi didn't respond immediately. He just lowered his gaze, as if searching his own thoughts for a justification he hadn't yet found clear.
—She's different. Not just because she understands our language... It's as if she understands what we don't say.
Namjoon nodded, with a slight smile.
—Yes, that makes her dangerous.
—Dangerous?
—For you. And for me, if we're not careful. Don't forget why it's here.
Yoongi sat up, crossing his arms.
—He's not here for us. He's here for the job.
—And that's precisely what makes her harder to read. She has no obvious agenda, she doesn't flirt, she doesn't seek attention. She just... observes. She translates. And she listens more than she speaks.
There was a heavy silence. As if they both knew that this conversation was merely the surface of something deeper that had been brewing for some time.
Yoongi broke his silence.
—I'm not going to do anything stupid.
"You never do," Namjoon said, glancing at him sideways. "But that doesn't mean you're not already involved."
