The next morning

When Yeo-ju and Jeong-gook were fast asleep under the same blanket, someone gently nudged Jeong-gook awake. Jeong-gook ignored them at first, but then got annoyed and just got up.

전정국

(in Japanese) Sir... who are you?

조직원들

(in Japanese) Brother, it's us.

When he opened his eyes, the room was filled with suit-wearing men. Jungkook looked around, bewildered, but the stern expressions on their faces gave him a hint.

전정국

(in Japanese) No way...

조직원들

..(nod nod)

Jungkook seemed to realize what was going on, and spoke to his team members. The men in suits nodded silently. Jungkook crawled out of the covers like a snail, trying not to wake the female lead next to him, and changed his clothes.

Just as Jungkook was about to say that he was ready to leave, he looked at the female lead who was sleeping soundly and became lost in thought.

전정국

(looking at the heroine) ...

전정국

(Should I at least say hello before I go..)

전정국

(I'll be back anyway, so I don't have to do it now, right?)

Jungkook didn't want to wake the sleeping heroine. It wouldn't do them any good to see her face. Jungkook simply covered her up to her neck with the blanket, stood up, and spoke in a solemn voice.

전정국

(in Japanese) 行こう. (Let's go)

As Jeongguk took the lead, the dark crowd that had filled the room rushed out. Meanwhile, Yeoju was sleeping oblivious to the world. The sun had risen before she knew it. Yeoju woke up, dazzled by the morning sunlight streaming through the gaps in the tatami room.

김여주

Hmm...

The heroine stretches out her arms to fall asleep in Jungkook's arms again, but she can't find anything. She wakes up and looks around, but Jungkook's clothes are gone, and there's nothing left.

김여주

(Look around, look around) What, where did you go?

김여주

I don't have any clothes... and they took all my luggage...

Yeo-ju thought that she and Jeong-guk weren't just ordinary people, but when he left without saying anything, a wave of disappointment washed over her. She shed a few tears, but soon she pulled herself together and packed her bags.

김여주

Heroine, you should cool down too!

김여주

We just got to eat something delicious.

김여주

That's just...that's the kind of relationship we have!

김여주

Since Yeoju was backpacking, she didn't have much luggage, so she just quietly packed her own and left. It was a bit concerning to send off our first relationship in Japan like this, but I couldn't find it anywhere in this vast country, so there was nothing I could do.

And so, their brief, yet intense first meeting ended. Yeo-ju immediately took a taxi and headed straight to the hot springs, and Jeong-guk still hadn't shown up. Yeo-ju thought their relationship had ended there, but it turned out they had a much longer connection than she'd expected. It was a bit tangled, but a very long one.
