05. An Uncomfortable Seat and a Strange Man (3)
As the young man raised his voice, his face paling, the middle-aged woman simply stood there. Unable to bear it any longer, Seon-wook approached the middle-aged woman.

"Please calculate the young man's bill too."
Seon-wook gestured to the middle-aged woman who hesitated when he handed her her card, and she paid the bill.

"Stop making a fuss and go. My brother-in-law is a detective in the violent crimes unit. I'll ask him to check the CCTV soon, so write down your name and phone number."
The young man, still angry, wrote down his name and phone number and left the store. Then, the middle-aged woman's legs gave out and she collapsed, and the onlookers, murmuring, returned to their seats.
Seon-wook called his brother-in-law, briefly explained the whole story, and asked him to cooperate with the owner in checking the CCTV footage. He hurried to the director's office and submitted the construction estimate that had been blocked.
As the day grew dark, Seon-wook looked at his watch and saw that it was approaching 7 p.m. He called his wife, explained the whole story, and told her he couldn't come in. It had been so long since he had made an estimate that his head was spinning. He was hungry, so he called the secretary's office and asked them to order him some jajangmyeon from the restaurant and looked out the window.
Looking out, I saw cars moving busily at Gangnam Intersection, hurrying to get off work. Just then, Seonwook's phone rang, so I checked the caller ID and answered.

"Have you checked your brother-in-law's CCTV?"
"Yes. I checked, and it turns out the young man wasn't making the claim on purpose. The cafe owner looked quite embarrassed when he saw dead bugs getting into the product during the manufacturing process."

"Thank you for your hard work. When will I buy you dinner?"
"I always do this. I contacted the man and took action."
김선욱
"Okay. Thank you."
After finishing the call, I quickly followed my secretary's instructions and went to the break room to fill my stomach with jajangmyeon. It wasn't until 1 a.m. that I was finally able to finish the construction estimate. I decided to review it and send it out tomorrow, and hurried home.
A few days later, a middle-aged woman called Seon-wook in front of a cafe.
"Thank you so much for that. It's only now that I'm finally able to thank you, since you're gone. If you'd give me your business card, I'd be happy to send you a cup of coffee."
