Jack and the Beanstalk
Once upon a time, in a certain village, there lived a boy named Jack who lived with his father.
Jack's mother ran away from home when he was young and disappeared, but the townspeople said she ran away after finding a man.
Dad lied because he was afraid little Jack would get hurt.

Your mother went to heaven because God called her.
아버지
I'm sure you'll be living happily in heaven.
Whenever Jack heard his mother's story, he would look up at the sky and picture his mother happily living in heaven.
It was a rural area, just like Jack's village, with a river running between the hills and houses with red roofs clustered together.
I could even picture Jesus in the magnificent church on the hill, preaching to the people who had come to heaven.
Every time he imagined that, Jack thought that he too wanted to go to heaven quickly.
I told this story to my dad once, but he got angry and had a scary expression on his face, which was unusual for his usual behavior, so I never mentioned it again after that.
Jack's family had a cow, and he and his father barely made a living by milking the cow.
But one day, when the cow suddenly stopped producing milk, the father was at a loss as to what to do, and finally made a decision.

After saying that and warning Jack several times not to be fooled by bad merchants, his father sent Jack away.
Jack was on his way to the market holding the reins of a cow when he stopped near the village gate when he heard an old man calling out to him.

When the thought occurred to him that he would be able to see his mother when he went up to heaven, Jack quickly traded the beans for the cow.
As soon as Jack handed over the reins, the grandfather tore the cow to pieces and devoured it with a terrifying ferocity, then in the blink of an eye he transformed into a giant.
Jack ran back home, trembling with fear.
Dad asked.

When Jack bragged about trading for magic beans, his father yelled at him like thunder.

You idiot! A fool like you should climb that beanstalk and go to heaven or wherever!
Then he threw the beans out the window, covered himself with the blanket, and went to sleep.
The next morning, when Jack opened his eyes, clutching his hungry stomach, the morning sunlight, unlike other months, did not shine into the room.
As I looked outside, wondering what was strange, I saw a thick bean vine with large leaves stretching all the way to the sky, piercing the clouds.
Jack saw it as a ladder to heaven where his mother was.
Jack ran frantically to the beanstalk and climbed up.
As we continued to climb, passing through a few white, cotton-like clouds, the sky finally appeared.
There were hills and a river just as Jack had imagined, and there were also wide fields, red-roofed houses, and buildings that looked like churches.
The sunlight was weak and it was a little strange that there were no shadows on objects, but the surrounding scenery was typical of the countryside, like Jack's village.
As Jack was walking along the stream, a red, goblin-like giant approached him from the opposite direction.
At first glance, I knew that the giant was a grandfather who had eaten a cow, or rather, a giant disguised as a grandfather.
He might be a scary goblin, but Kangnam Kong was truly a magic bean, and with nowhere else to go, Jack decided to chase after the giant first.
The giant entered a large country house.

When his eyes met with the female goblin's, Jack suddenly cried out, "Mom."
The female goblin was undoubtedly the mother Jack had seen in his dreams countless times.
Originally, she was a strong, country girl, but now she had gained weight like an ox and had grown into a large, inhumane creature, a sight that was frightening to look at.
But Jack couldn't help it because it was a goblin, and he thought that this goblin must be his mother, so he called her "mother" again.

The female goblin said in confusion.
When Jack said he had climbed the beanstalk to see his mother, the goblin cursed him, saying that it was annoying.

The female goblin hid Jack's body in the warehouse and served it to the male goblin for dinner, calling it children's stew.
